I am not saying any of you would do such a thing, but the pattern seems to be male. What is the reason for the school shootings? What part of the male brain says this is a response to anything? I just don't get it! I can't wrap my mind around this one. I understand why they do other violent things, but this????????

torment any one long enough and they will snap... not all will resort to shooting... but this is a symptom of much greater wrong within the school culture... almost every one of the shooters had a history of being abused at school... By the very ones the majority think of as "nice" "popular" kids... look to the jocks and preps for much of "teasing" that in fact is torment... and to all the rest who stand by and do nothing to prevent it... students and faculty..... this is not a new thing.... but the breakdown of scociety is such that there is more coming out.

It is said that males mature slower and tend to be more violent, but who knows. They are more physical in their dealings with everything. Think back to high school. Guys would beat each other up while girls would use gossip as their weapon against one another.

Every guy out there had to probably deal with a bully in their lives at some point. Back in my day, fistfights settled those things. My honest opinion is that we need to let the boys fight with their fists when they are younger. If you have a weaker boy, teach him to defend himself. The aggression has to be let out, and let out early. Older boys who see a younger boy bullying other kids should step in and do something. We have wussified our men in this world, and now the aggression is coming out unexpectedly.

I tell you why we do it. If you notice after every school shooting the last line is usually, " this shooting however was not the worst in American history, the Columbine shooting was the worst." It's all about competition.

i know, there was another one this morning at an Amish school of all places. male factor, not really sure why violence is usually the answer to male problems.
