OK, I'm well aware that beauty is skin deep and that it lies in the eyes of the beholder. But, some things just cannot be ignored, no matter how hard you try.
Have you ever experienced inequality due to your external appearance? Perhaps, somebody gave you the cold shoulder on account of your looks, or you were surpassed or you surpassed another because of the way you looked? Maybe you always felt like you were compared to a better-looking or worse-looking family member, or a friend.

Honest answers will be appreciated. This is a question related to common psychology.

I have a very difficult time trusting people but I develop attachment to people very very easily. that always results in me hurting other people then them hurting me because of it. I do not know how to change therapy has never helped...

I have never done anything to him to make him feel that he can not. Our trust issues are not the standard cheating thing. He just outright wont let me in. He has been through a lot in his life. Beatings, rapes and he works at a job that doesnt increase his faith in people. We have only known each other for less than a month but for whatever reason I am compelled to help him. This man is broken and his walls have held him back. Please tell me what I can do to help him be human again. He seems like a walking zombie .

Men your help is most important here.

Why do people disrespectfully misappropriate and trample Asian culture? This is most evidently seen in martial arts training (like other cultures don't have them!) traditional medicine (ditto) and religion (ditto)

Asians are not "mystics" or "holy" they are PEOPLE and to disregard the rest of civilisation's gifts to humanity is to insult EVERYBODY. It is a way of insulting EVERYONE to want to be more Asian than Asians. The Hare Krishnas come to mind.

I have a Tibetan friend and the idiots who attach themselves to him make me chuckle. He doesn't like a lot of them either but is too polite to say so.
