I'd like to think I would. Of course it depends on the severity of the attack. I would personally intervene if it was physical assault but would more likely call the police if a knife or gun is involved.

Yes, carefully though. If the attacker had a knife for instance, and it was a very dangerous situation, i would call 999, and draw attention to the situation, in the hope the attacker would flee. My daughter`s friend was murdered in May, at a house party, she was stabbed with a samuri sword, and my daughter was distraught (she was not there) that no one jumped in to help. They were afraid of being stabbed also, and people ended up in trauma, as they said they felt helpless to help her, her attacker was going wild, and could have turned the sword on them. It was a terrible time for all who knew her, all they could do was ring the police, but it was too late for her. I just hope i am never confronted with this situation, but i would do whatever i could, if i was.

A Friend of mine went to intervene in a fight outside a night club at 3.00a.m. About 4 or 5 lads were giving this 1 lad a good hiding. He stepped in to make peace and was punched in the face, it knocked him out which resulted in him smashing the back of his head on the kerb. He died the next day. He was polite, gentle, easy-going and great with anyone. He was only 18. He would have helped anyone, anytime but hes paid for his good intentions with his life. Think first!.

Depends on what was going on. For example if it was one guy attacking someone then yes i would help but if it was a group i would probably phone the cops and stay clear. Look after number one

I would like to say yes. But i got attacked last night, not seriously injured but took a few punches. There were people that justand watched. No help at all.

i would help the victim and beat the crap out of the attacker till the cops arrived .
cause you know for sure he/she wont goto prison.
or if they do they will be released on a tagging order due to the drastic shortage of prison spaces (overcrowded by over 40% at present)

yes i would, I've always helped out the kid that got beat up in the school yard, even if it's unpopular, I've even picked up the guy I knocked out, that tried to pull a move on me. I saw a guy get lumped up in a bar fight on a dock on the water, the guy that knocked him out with one punch put the victim in the "drink", the guy that hit him goes "God Dmmit" takes his shoes off and pulls the guy out of the water, I laughed my azz off !

I would yes, I might not be able to do much physically but I can shout and scream really loud and hopefully that would draw more attention to the situation and others would come and help.

My Dad got stabbed to death helping a woman who was being assaulted by her astranged husband.
But, I guess it depends on the situation really....
