I am for abortion. A couple.....couple (not just the mother) has the right to choose the course of their livee. If an unwanted baby was created then I'd rather abort it then living the rest of my life regretting and dispising my child. Im not saying that you should go out and have great unprotected sex, but if its a freak accident in which you were careful and it happened anyways, then there should be an option to destroy the fetus before its too late.
I think we should solve the human murders being commited in everday life before we have the debate as to whether aborting a sac of fertilized eggs is murder!

Washington, DC USA

Personally, I believe abortion is murder regardless of the length of pregnancy. Seeing how an abortion is done, reaffirms it being an act of murder in my mind.

More than anything else, I believe in the right of having a choice to have an abortion or not. Let GOD determine whether or not that person is morally right or wrong. It seems to be a contradiction to the US Constitution. Not that there's any thing in the constitution that covers this topic- but with so many other rights and privaleges, it seems that the decision a person makes in what's done to/with/for their body, the right to abortion just seems like something to be included. Abortion is such a personal choice and although I don't believe abortions are right, denying a person choice is more wrong than anything. I equate a fetus to someone on life support. When you pull the plug and let the person die, that's pretty much the same thing as an abortion. The only difference is that there are more people involved in deciding that person's fate- in an abortion, it's solely up to the mother if she wants to carry a baby for the next nine months. A fetus cannot survive on its own outside the womb if born too early. It will die anyway. I can see how some people don't see it in the same light as another human being. Even though I understand, to me, a fetus is a person.. just not able to function on its own. I don't agree with taking a life when you're powerless to give one.

I'm against abortion for any circumstances. To me most abortions are the equivalent of mechanical rape. It also exploits women in a crisis situation by offering her a solution in which she is not given all the facts. Lastly, pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood yell they are for choice while they laugh all the way to the bank. Abortion has become a multi million dollar international business that exploits mothers at a very vulnerable point. I'm from the US in New Mexico.

Answer me this: In all the pro and con arguments, does the fetus ever say anything? Should the views of fetuses be respected maybe?

Go back in time to when you were a fetus and give us your opinion on whether you should be aborted. Fetuses that have been aborted, do you think they might share that opinion? Life is good; getting aborted is not.

I don't like how you worded your question. I don't think anyone is 'for' abortion or would prefer women get abortions. Is that your question? Or are you asking about choice vs not having a choice? I think all pregnant women inherently love their child and only would abort for significant reasons. I think they all know the consequences of their action and shouldn't be forced one way or the other.

How can anyone be 'for' the torture and murder of innocent, unborn children? Abortion should only be available in cases of rape. Although I would make exceptions if we could travel back in time and abort the "Pro-choice" idiots out there.

I'm for it. There are various reasons, but one that hit me when reading these other posts is this: banning abortion is like saying "we're forcing you to have this baby because you were too STUPID to use birth control." And that's terrible. Oh, and I'm from Edinburgh, UK
