That's what I always have heard them called. I'm referring to the ones on the lower back and right above the butt.

You can't see them yourself and others can't see them unless you're bending over or are wearing a swimsuit or something similarly revealing.

Are they, in fact, purely for the benefit of others, since you can't see them yourself? I suppose the same reasoning would apply to ones on your back or shoulders?

"Tramp Stamp" is a new term to me. I think I prefer "Butt-Cap" for myself, seems less, um, aggressive.

Ah yes, the tramp stamp...about 75% of my friends have them..I am not a fan myself but I don't know if it's because they're tacky or because everybody has them. It's a trend and nothing else

Well, I had my "tramp stamp" long before it became a fad or trendy so I don't consider it that. It's a stupid stereotypical label. I got mine because I liked the design of it and that is where it looked the best. Mine shows because I am a professional bellydancer. I get compliments on it all the time. The minute a man calls it is a tramp stamp I turn and walk. That means he's only looking for one thing and has no respect for me.

Tramp Stamp and Crack art; I don't care for them. Personally I believe your body is a canvas for art, for self enjoyment. I think it is foolish to get a tattoo just for others to gawk at.
