Why do people who don't know the answer to a question bother answering it with "I dunno". Isn't that implied without answering?

Ok, many of you had some value added responses to my previous question . But most didnt really answer it. I really didn't ask if I should consider an interracial relationship. Nor did I make any comments about the perceived inadequacy of black men. What I am looking to gain insight into is how to make the interracial thing happen with out being race conscious when I don't see any available non black men during my daily routine or even when I go out. I welcome your reponses to the posed question.

Some of my friends have suggested I open my self up to dating non black men. I have always resisted because I don't encounter the type that I think would be into me. I am well educated, fit, financially healthy and employed. Non Black men (specifically those over 30): Would you consider seriously dating/marrying a Black woman? If so, what would you look for?

Have always thought of myself as non biased up until today ... I have always looked at other religious views and religion ( including athiest (mmm don't like it ... but you are a religion by definition ... you don't believe in anything therefore you believe in yourself or sience .... which mmm ain't a bad thing) ... but what I'm asking is do you tend to just assume that someone answering your question is from outside or inside your group of norms? I've seen it a lot here, and I've caught myself doing it ... I'm from the US, and have talked with people from all over the world because of this, forum ... and for once I don't feel alone ... but have found myself just thinking that someone was from my area just because of the way they talk ...truthfully ... I don't have a question anymore ... just answered it .... so answer away ... ---- Wally

When I hear Black Women make these statements, I realize that they are further away from getting a good decent man than any other women. Black Men who date White Women are most often more educated, and is of a higher class than the ones who date Black Women, that’s why they treat women better, not because she’s a White girl. More educated, higher class Black Men will treat all women with respect, because that’s what kind of guy he is. And not so educated and lower class Black Men will treat any women bad, White trash women as well, because that’s what kind of guy he is. These are plainly two different kinds of Men, it’s just more common that the nice, decent, educated and higher class Black Men prefer White, Asian or other cultures of women, and the not so decent, not so nice Black guys prefer Black Women who they can relate with. Nice guys are just nice and bad guys are just bad, no matter what kind of women they have or what culture they are.

I used to live in a house that we sold to a Mexican family. We didn't get nearly as much for it as we could have but we needed the money at the time. Last week this Mexican family was having a barbeque--my family wasn't invited but we hopped the fence and joined in anyway. We ate their food, enjoyed their sodas, and relaxed in their house. And they had the gaul to ask us to leave. They said that we had no right to be there. I explained that my family was hungry and they had it better than my family does so why couldn't we stay there? He said because I wasn't invited and it was HIS home and HIS food. I think he was being racist for demanding that we leave and I think we should have been able to stay for as long as we wanted. I even called some family members and they hopped his back fence and joined in on the fun and he asked them to leave also. I told him that I used to live there, but he said, "Who cares?" Who is right here? Man those Mexicans can be so racist and unfair.

As an African American Man who has socialized in different cultural and professional environments, it is very annoying when I hear African American Men say that Black Women are gold diggers. Usually, the Black guys who make these ignorant statements probably and most often socialize with poor Black Women who are trying to assimilate the behavior of privileged American White Women, because more fortunate Black Women are not so greedy. The false concept of independence that most Black Women have won’t allow them to be gold diggers, and they will more often take care of a lazy Black Man rather than the other way around. But as a successful African American Man who has dated professional White, Americanized Asian and Latin women, I do know that these classes of women do not come cheap. I’m not speaking about White trash, I’m only speaking about professional White American and Americanized Women of other cultures; European women are not as materialistic. Most American White women are taught from an early age to date men from a perspective of dollars and cents. This doesn’t mean that they don’t have emotions, it just means that they expect you to have a very strong financial background and be able to maintain it, if not better, or don’t even look in their direction. So when I hear Black Men say that Black Women are gold diggers, I realize that they have only dealt with poor, ghetto Black Women and have never dated or socialized with Professional American White women. That could be why when many White guys lose their job, they go crazy because they have high standards to live up to for their wife and family, and the wife usually don’t want to hear excuses.
