personally i can survive on about 4 hours, but 6 is better for me, i just wondered how many people need loads of sleep. In total my sis-in-law has about 14 hours!!!!!

I get about 5 a night during the week, and about 9 on the weekends.
I need more, but my job demands it.

I average about 5 hours sleep during the week, but on the weekends, or when I'm off, I'll sleep for about 7 or 8.

I have actually functioned on an hours' sleep from one day to the next, but the following day I basically passed out for about 10 hours.

i believe the average is 6-7 hours although it states in text books that 8hours is required.

but people are different and can function on less sleep for instance i have been up since 11am on 01.09.06 and still awake now 07.32am on the 02.09.06 due to working night shift, but im sure i will go home and sleep 8 hours and be fine!

I can function on six hours sleep but given the opportunity I could totally sleep for 12.

10-15 years old 8-10 hours
16 above 7-10 hours

i need 7 hours of sleep to function at my best.
Yeah,i've heard some people sleep 4 hours and can function normally.

George Bush sleeps at 9-930pm. sleeps alot too.

I average between 4 to 6, but 7 or 8 leaves me feeling much better the next day. I can't imagine sleeping 14 hours unless I was deathly sick....but to each their own. :)

in the last 3 days ive gotten about 6 hours without drugs of any kind and any special diet.

ive been told if you can lay down and sleep for 1 hour,that was enough to go 8 hours

To function properly, you need to have 6h real sleep. But depending on your body system, some people can function well with less and some more, but normaly with 6 you should be able to function properly.

6 hours is enough for me it was 8 when i was younger but i was working hard then and needed the extra 2 hours

If am alone then 7-10 hours but with girl friend may be two hours.
