Depending on your racial background, you would have very different answers. Most of the white people I know say they are against racism and they are not racists yet most of the ethnic minority people have experiences of racism, in one form or another. Sometimes such experiences are so subtle you really can't prove whether they are racially motivated or not but that is how people perceive subjectively.

Throughout history people have fought amongst themselves. Whether its about religion, political views, nationalities, heritage or football teams we seem to be programmed to fight with each other. Why is this? Is it some kind of ancient tribal survival instinct? And why can't we overcome it?

It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much - the wheel, New York, wars and so on - whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man - for precisely the same reasons.

get closer to his subjects than what was reasonable? Was it just his desire to push the limits, or was he pressured by the people who employed him to give the audience its moneys worth? I will miss that guy on Animal Planet and Discovery and so will my children, but could his untimely death have been prevented?

I'm in college right now, and I can tell you that it is seriously the biggest scam ever pulled off. People only go because society says you have to. I will *definitely* not use more than half of the classes I need to take. Tuition is outrageous, and the textbooks are literally highway robbery. The whole thing is just so ridiculous and ABSURD!! WHy the hell doesn't everyone stand up to college? I think people need an education, but the way it should be is that for whatever field you go into, you go to a place to learn THAT FIELD! Why take millions of useless classes that you'll never need? It baffles me that with such an obvious money-making scam like college, people still accept it! Can someone please explain to me why we don't stand up to this insane system?

I think it's totally wrong, but I've had a few people tell me that it's normal and it's part of growing up and getting all that crap out of the way. BUT i still say that's bull you should wait till your 16 at least. Any way I really would like to hear more opinions. (opinions that aren't all from males at least)

What to do? What to do? It's a great 2nd floor apartment, bright and light with high pitched ceilings. And I've put a lot of work into getting it set up just right. But now I don't know what to do. 20 years ago I lived above a couple who smoked for years, and came away with a smoke allergy which has not receded in time.

I was fine when the new guy moved in downstairs; I knew he smoked, but either he was trying to quit or taking it outside, because although I would see a cig in his mouth outdoors, it wasn't causing problems upstairs for me. But in the past month, something has happened: I am aware of the smokey smell the minute I walk in my door, andf on Monday it got so intense (sore throat, coughing flem, and itching so much I have to take Allavert.)
Can 't slee[ tonight worrying. It's going to get worse, because right now all my windows are open, the airconditioner fan is blowig and 2 toher fans are blowing. The open window thing won't work very well in winter. What ...
