I think monogamy is not natural for people. It's a choice. So if you feel the need to have sex with another person than your mate it's not unnatural. I do think it's a bad choice if you're in a committed relationship ,however, because you'll probably end up hurting the one your committed to and they don't deserve that. Therefore, if you want to sleep around it would probably be best to stay single.
