The freemasons are not dangerous, and are considered on of the greatest Charitable organizations in the world. They are also considered a secret society due to the fact that they keep their lodge business, and ceremonies to themselves. Most people know about the Shriners and what they do for crippled children, what most do not know is that to be a Shriner one must be a Master Mason first. Also the Masons belive in free will and do not recruit people, so to become a mason all you have to do is ask. They build upon the basic foundation that all are equal, king and pauper, on the level.

One thing you will find is that those that do not know the secrets will sometimes create things because they are jealous.

I don't think so. If they're controlling the world like a lot of people think they are, they seem to be doing a good job of it. If there are a few dodgy deals being made, then I suppose that could be considered a shame, but at the end of the day, I woke up in my bed this morning, safe and sound, with birds tweating. My sisters have a good, free education, and if anyone I know should fall ill there's a good healthcare service to look after them. So if the Masons are controlling the world, at least they're keeping it spinning!

I would like to believe that the organization is what their charter and oath says of them.

Any organization can have any variation and diversity of types Humans as members. Humans themselves as a race have these qualities among them.

I have found that there is much contradictory and questionable information circulated in books and the internet.

The best site for with the information to is located in the soucre box. Mr. Bessel is helppful with balancing the view as far as I can tell.

I know that the oath and charter are serious in its contents. The elements of free speech, free press, & free assembly included in the Declaration of Independence & U.S. Constitution (reagrdless of the intentional flaws included therein) are reflective of the oath and charter of the Free Massons. Most importantly is the connection to Free Thinking.

Free Masonry may be an organiztion with secrets, but it is not a secret organizaton. Much of the conspiratorial hysteria is focused on the "secret organization," aspect. Remember, that ANY organizaton, can contain currupt individuals whose aims and agenda are targeted towards the antithesis of their stated oaths. This includes nations, governments, militaries, religious, clergy, officiers, gentlemen, sewing clubs, quilting circles, countryclubs, etc.

Some impressive items:

"Masonry is also sometimes called a “great quest for light and knowledge” that deals with the “intellectual, moral, and spiritual values of life.” To achieve these goals, “freedom of thought, speech, and action belongs to every man.”

"Tolerance is basic in Freemasonry. Masons are taught to respect the beliefs and opinions of all people. “Whenever you are an enemy of bigotry or intolerance, you live the teachings of Freemasonry.”

" Freemasonry embraces the basic idea of allowing every man to think for himself and to expand his knowledge. Thus, Masonic lodges have been a meeting place for men of open minds, Voltaire, Mozart, and many others. For this reason, too, Masons have been specifically condemned and sometimes imprisoned, or worse,..."

"While it requires candidates to express a belief in a Supreme Being, Freemasonry is not a religion or a substitute for religion, and it has no theology, dogma, or path to salvation. Each Mason follows his own faith. "

"...Freemasonry is an organization whose members are concerned with moral and spiritual values, self-improvement, and helping their communities with charitable endeavors. Masons (synonymous with Freemasons) take oaths to be good to their Brothers in Masonry, their families, and all people. They are taught that we are part of the brotherhood of man, under the fatherhood of God."

Historically we know that Free Thinking is the enemy of tyrrants and despots, whether those qualities are within others or ourselves. "You're either for us or against us," has no place within my limitted understanding of Free Masonry.

Free Thinking is what is given to ALL Humans by their Creator, generally it is referred to as Freedom of Choice. Symbolically, in Genesis as the "Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil."

Free Thinking affects every part of our lifestyles; Philosophically, Theologically, Scientifically, Ethically, Morally, Techniclogically, etc.

The oath & charter of position to be sure; should be something we ALL whether member or not, should be able to hold them too by their "sacred honor."

Where there is no Liberty, there is no Free Thinking.
