Throughout history people have fought amongst themselves. Whether its about religion, political views, nationalities, heritage or football teams we seem to be programmed to fight with each other. Why is this? Is it some kind of ancient tribal survival instinct? And why can't we overcome it?

You seem a bit confused. There's a difference fighting for a just cause and "football."

What you are talking about is what we call "fallen" human nature. People are naturally selfish. They will try to amass resources at the expense of other people. For some this is a drive for wealth, power, fame, material possessions or some other goal.

The only way out of this is to be changed by The Holy Spirit. God's desire is that we should be selfless, considering other people above ourselves. We always have a choice, but The Holy Spirit gives us the power to serve at a sacrificial level, in other words, to serve others even if it puts us at a disadvantage. It is the only way we can overcome our selfish, self-centred human nature.

Humans are like simple organisms (virus)
Virus fighting virus - to survive and become the most dominant - but unlike Virus's Humans have the ability to choose...

Films such as Quatermass and the Pit, Exorcist 2, Star-ship Troopers, all make a point about Humans having an Insect like mind - and all suggest that only a few amongst us are immune to the need to swarm in a mass against another swarming mass.

Moral - Don't follow a Christ into battle, or be part of its Legion/s - Be yourself - resist the desire to mindlessly murder/kill and destroy others

If everyone around the world suddenly stopped what they were doing and had a good old look at what awful things have happened over the years I think a lot of them would think twice about it ever happening again, trouble is if we put the world to right I am sure something else would then start to annoy us so it would be back to square one again, think it is just human nature or part of the big plan of what life has to offer and throw at us.

What is the meaning of our existence?
Does everything we do need a purpose?
Why does the day begin with sunrise for some?
While for the nocturnal the night ends rest…
Who is to judge our every action?
While wars and killing need no justification…
Mortal though we are pretend to be divine…
Making rules for others to follow while we break them.

Life is a lie……don’t search for its meaning,
Pretending you’re god…..just do your own healing….

Man don’t break your head and don’t think too deep
The answers are easy and not so hard to seek
Turn a blind eye to all the injustice…
Enjoy your time while others face the retribution
Learn how to sin so that someone else takes the blame
Cause once life ends both heaven and hell are the same
Good, evil. Sinner, saint are merely man made words
Forget them and be the architect of your salvation..

Well if you worry the day will turn long…
Your sleep eludes you while and your fears they will haunt..
Don’t be the sacrificial lamb and thank the blade..
Hoping that the blood spilt won’t just go in vain….

Life is a lie……don’t search for its meaning,
Pretending you’re god…..just do your own healing….

Survival of the fittest, to ensure that only the best survive on earth. Probably imprinted genetically since the dinosaur era.

Because we'll never learn, we're stupid, egotistical, and greedy.Part of our dubious charm as a human, if you look at the animal world it happens there too, so we're not alone, but actually that's probably why we are like we are, we're only at the end of the day, the most intelligent animal on earth, presumably !
