I was just wondering how you say "good point" or "point well taken" in Latin. I don't think a literal translation will suffice here,

...weichen Gesichtszuegen, die ihn eher nach Dicter als nach Durchwinker aussehen liessen.

So I understand the part "soft facial features that made him look rather like a poet......."

so there are just a few words I'm missing but I haven't been able to figure it out from dictionary definitions.

I'm a brail reader but still wonder why don't we just use raised print so all could read. people have to have someone read letters from blind people because they don't always use the computer to print it in both. I've just wondered.

Hi! I need help translating my lasagne recipe from English into German and Metric. I tried on-line translators - but my friends in Mainz said it didn't work. Can anyone please help me?

Here is the recipe:
2 lbs ricotta cheese
1 lb shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup fresh grated pecorino romano cheese
1 cup fresh grated Asiago cheese
1 cup fresh grated parmesean cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
extra virgin olive oil
1 cup onions, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 lb sweet Italian sausage, casing removed and chopped You can add more sausage if you want - I just don't like to over-power mine or make it 'too meaty'
2 Quarts of "Dianne's Pasta & Tomato Sauce (All purpose tomato sauce for anything)" Or you could just use any sauce from a jar - but mine is better :-)
1 1/2 lbs lasagna noodles
salt and pepper

I need the directions translated too - can't fit it here - I'll add it in additional details, Thank you so much!

What are some ways to develop a good everyday vocabulary?

You probably use the word "like" much more times that you think. "Like" is probably one of the most common used word.

But the question is, how did it's meaning "with the same characterisitcs" and "to have a kind or friendly feeling" turn into a word that is used in almost every sentence? For example:

"Becuase, like, he always wants to get good responses"
or
"GIve me a sentence with the word "fun" in it, like 'I had fun with him'"

1) i understand you now and i don't want to talk to you.
2) I'm fine, but i can see I'm not important enough for you.
3) no i don't want to bother you.
4) i don't want to get in your way.
5) you have too many girls and i see you just forget me, I'm only one of them.
6) no I'm not going to keep playing and asking you for kisses.
7) i can see garret is a better man then you are.

Thank you!

I live in Sacramento, CA and I want nothing more than to learn to speak Hebrew fluently. There is always Rosetta Stone, but in-person training seems so much more appealing and effective. Of course the colleges around here don't offer Hebrew as a language class, so...any ideas?

I've learnt English only at school. I think I know it pretty well, but there are some expressions I don't understand. I was trying to translate a subtitle from English to my language. So, please tell me what does this mean: "You've got to keep them on their toes." ? It is about a discussion some men had about their workers.

So, I'll try to make this as least confusing as possible.....I'm working with German pronouns and I ahve a few questions....I will use three examples...Der Hund (The Dog) Die Tür (The Door) and Das Buch (The Book).... Now if I constructed the sentences: Ich sehe den Hund, Ich sehe die Tür, and Ich sehe das Buch...(I see the dog, I see the door, I see the book)...and then substituted the Direct Object with Pronouns. When substituting the pronouns, would I match the pronoun and noun with the Gender of the nouns. In English I would replace each Direct object with "It' in German would I just use "es" or would I need to use Ich sehe ihn, Ich sehe sie, Ich sehe es.....? I know this is really confusing..... Basically...If I have a masculine noun that is not actually a man would I use the masculine pronoun in place of it?
