the reason why i said he was german is that i wanted to make sure that the person who asked me was not american. it is sometimes hard to expain to people who have a different background than to people who have the same background. i didnt try to make any racism or anything.

Emotional-
If you want to know what it means in music or clothing you might just want to do a Google search or check out the link below. The term originated in the mid-1980s, describing a sub genre of hardcore punk. However, it has really evolved and a good explanation will require more space than there is here.

There is also "emo" fashion or style: Emo clothing is characterized by tight jeans on males and females alike, long fringe (bangs) brushed to one side of the face or over one or both eyes, dyed black, straight hair, tight t-shirts which often bear the names of rock bands (or other designed shirts), studded belts, belt buckles, canvas sneakers or skate shoes or other black shoes.

However, there is a lot of disagreement about what constitutes "emo" music and fashion.

that is commonly the pleasant definition... Emo Girl comes stomping via the entrance door after a tough day at tuition. Emo Girl's mom tells her "Ok sweetie, if you're taking off anyplace be certain to be house at 8pm for dinner okay?" Emo Girl then screams "I FREAKING HATE YOU MOM, GOD, NOBODY UNDERSTANDS ME!!" then stomps off to her room that is without doubt painted crimson and black with My Chemical Romance, Simple Plan, and Good Charlotte posters everywhere, slaps in a chart topping spoil hit album of a few whiny band, takes out her diary and writes in it just like the inanimate item can appreciate her, then takes her teenage angst out on her crammed animal assortment..... OR..... after she stomps off from her mom she heads instantly for the toilet to train crying within the reflect at the same time simulating reducing her wrists along with her strawberry shortcake enamel brush. This little situation will also be the specific identical for an emo dude. Edit:: Actually, emo and goth are 2 exclusive matters and the 2 agencies quite often get into crying fits over which organization is the gayest.

It is an emotional train wreck created by nothing. A kill yourself, and maybe some one else too. The depressed, I hate life, maybe I will cut on my self. A 'misery loves company' thing. I don't like it when people look at me but I am gonna dress like a 1/2 dead person so people will stare and talk even more. It is stupid crap. It is like a cult. I can't believe kids actually fall for it. It is a very unattractive style. The music is mostly set towards depressing thoughts of nothing good. It is freakin retarded. I don't hate them, I just don't get them. I don't get the love of that style. I have seen some, should be, very attractive people in to it and they look like crap because of that style. It literally made them ugly. What a shame.

Next time, if you cannot find an applicable definition on the web, please supply the context of the word for which you want a definition. That will help us, which will help you, and, in turn, your "friend" (BTW, it wasn't important that you mentioned your friend or his country; they have nothing to do with the question). Better questions get better answers.
