I was thinking of getting a tattoo in arabic but then thought about the ottoman turkish script which is a variation of arabic. Does anyone know how to write "creativity" or "creative" in ottoman turkish script? Or do you know of any websites or books that would help me? I found some websites that show the alphabet but I need to know how to put it together.

I have a midterm exam today and I have to be in a group and carry on a conversation with my group in ASL only. We each have to come with conversation starters, but I'm not sure what mine should be. I am in ASL 111 so we've basically only done 3 chapters so far. I know how to fingerspell, ask for name, I know about food, directions, certain places, and other things like that that are basic. Can someone please help me figure out some converstation starters!! All I can think of is "your name what?" which I'm sure everyone will use as a converstation starter. Please help!

For instance, my boyfriend just text me 'my head is going to explode'. I assume this is a euphemism for 'my goodness, I'm so tired from studying, I have a headache'. What do you think?

Is this sentence right or not?
"Confirm the tour group whether need to check some crtification before hand." ---Explain: During some itinerary, the tour group may meet some places to check the tourists' passport or visa or other stuff, so the guide should prepare certifications before hand. For the year Im living in France teaching English. I actually have a masters in French but its been over a year since ive spoken it and my masters is in language teaching not so much strict speaking. I just want to know how not to stick out as an american...could you help me with how to casually say a few things...without sounding like a textbook.

How to ask for directions, what to say when you approach someone, etc. How to let them know you really apprectiate it without just saying merci.

How to ask for a pack of cigarettes, coffee, and a carte orange at a tabac.

How to stop someone and ask for help.

How to firmly tell someone to leave you alone if they try to bother you...even how to insult them a bit.

How to tell someone you dont want what theyve shown you in a store...thanks but no thanks...

What to say when you call someone about an apartment you saw in the paper.

Je vous remercie mille fois!

....anywhere near as much as television might lead one to believe? Or is it (self)censorship of "Oh my GOD"?

The reason I wonder is because all the people I am around say GOD and the people on the boob tube seem to say GOSH a lot. I can't tell if the latter are just a whole different set of people than those I know/live around, or if they have just changed their actions for TV.

Are people that old-fashioned that they really won't take "GOD" in vain?
