I have a midterm exam today and I have to be in a group and carry on a conversation with my group in ASL only. We each have to come with conversation starters, but I'm not sure what mine should be. I am in ASL 111 so we've basically only done 3 chapters so far. I know how to fingerspell, ask for name, I know about food, directions, certain places, and other things like that that are basic. Can someone please help me figure out some converstation starters!! All I can think of is "your name what?" which I'm sure everyone will use as a converstation starter. Please help!

If you know or can learn the signs for it, start with, "So, tell me all about yourself". That should keep the other person "speaking" for quite a while, and people always love to talk about themselves!

As you know directions and places why not something like
where's the station?
