This is for everyone of every age. Why is that if you read most of the questions/answer on the Answers web page, you can barely discern the English language. Spell check is incorporated into the program and if your unsure of your grammar you could write your question or response in Word then press the button for grammar and spell check simultaneously.

So why then are most questions asked and answered unintelligible?

Could someone, a native speaker maybe, translate this phrase for me.

"The positives [experiences] far outweigh the negatives [experiences]"

Thanks!

I swear it makes people seem stupid/illiterate when someone says "ne1" instead of anyone. COME ON people, it's not hard to type a couple of extra letters. What about "r u jkg"? LOL

I'll just say this as politely as I can. If you fill your sentences with abbreviations such as these, you're going to appear uneducated to the rest of us who take pride in trying to present themselves as intelligent.

Am I being too harsh? I don't intend to be rude or hurt anyone's feelings, but I know I'm right.

if "can" and "can't" have the same vowel sound for you, don't answer the question.

I've heard this is the best audio course by far, and is like Pimsleur but enough vocablulary to actually be functional in. The problem is, it's based around Latin American Spanish, and my aim is to converse mainly with Spanish.

Should this be much of a hinderance?

There's a new girl at my school and she has a very thick accent (the closest I can think of is Rihanna but hers is much thicker) but she says she was born and raised in America. Her mother doesn't have the accent (she sounds more like a southern accent). How is that possible? Also she's kind of weird looking (you'd never believe she was American). She has like a strawberry blonde hair, her skin color's really weird (it's like Halle Berry's but with a redder tone), her eyes are blue and an eye shape I've never seen before and her lips are really full (like Angelina Jolie's except hers have an arch). Also she's really tall (5' 8" to 5' 9"). Any idea what background she might be from? I don't want to offend her by asking and being wrong with the guess. Her first name's Jamya or Jamia (I'm not sure of the spelling) and her last name is Pendarvis (I think that's the spelling. It's like Pin-Dar-Viss). If you can recognize her culture, can you post info about it? Thanks.
