If it's your French teacher coming into the room and saying : "qu'est-ce-que c'est que ce bordel ?" that means : what the heck is going on in here ? :) Bordel : a right mess also : a brothel , but that meaning has been a bit lost nowadays. If it's someone who says to you alone : "qu'est-ce-que tu fais bordel ?" Well then it means : what the hell are you doing ?

It says "Are you my friend?" Except that the "es" verb is missing after tu. The more conventional way to say it is "Es-tu mon ami?"
