Hi I have been watching sub episodes of Sailor Moon.

Just wondering what does the phrases -san and -chan mean

I have an understanding that for an example Rei-chan is an affectionate term

what does it mean by Usagi-san?

I think there is another term but I am not sure.

well, how on earth do Chinese characters, there being over 1000, get to be typed into computers and textx? We type in each letter onto a board or in a phone, but how can you possibly get that amny characters onto a keyboard? Am I missing something here? Please help

I hear the english education system in japan is not the greatest, and many students learn grammer and such, but cannot really speak it. How much english does the average Japanese adult (20-40) know? Simple sentences? Complex thoughts? Would he/she understand this question? Thanks for shining any light on this,

I think I have it translated except for demuestra but if someone could translate it (to English) for me that would be great!

I'm a British guy, living in Georgia, I am trying to teach and American, southern girl how to speak with a British accent.
It is really hard! Does anyone have any tips to help me such as: a pronunciation chart, techniques, and even British words. Ex. boot = trunk. Slang it good too! Anything will help!! Thanks.

I looked it up on an Online Spanish-English dictionary, and the closet thing it gave me was "chalet," which doesn't fit the context of the story I'm reading. Based on the context, I think it might mean something like, "Come on," but I'd like to be sure.

I understand it helps to understand the bases of european languages, and it shows similarities between them, but why learn it intensely, if the language is dead?

When i was searching through a college brochure, in the language courses there was all the european languages, a few oriental, and Modern Greek, but then there was A level Latin, surely learning would be almost useless on the whole, right? No countries speak it anywhere, and it wouldn't even be that convincing on a C.V.

right? or.....?
