I took a year to go overseas to Germany for a foreign exchange year, and now I can speak fluent German, but im not sure if that was such a good decision. Would it have been better to learn French? I mean, I want to work in the business field. Was it a waste of time learning this pretty difficult language?

I want to translate "your death was my destruction" into Latin. I used one of those free online things and the best they gave me was "vestri nex eram meus ruina" which doesn't sound right to me. But then I don't know Latin. I did look up all of the words separately and found none of those, but again I know that doesn't mean much. Could somebody who does know Latin please tell me what the most accurate translation of that line would be? Thanks.

I know for example tabemasu is 'eat'
So would i take off 'masu' and add on 'mashita' to make it past tense?

Is the below a good translation:
"Knowing that the products namely X,Y,Z have benefited from the Discount plan applied last month, the monthly sales for June for those products has decreased due to the over storage realized by the customers last period"
