Why don't some people understand other languages?

I simply asked this question for fun, to see how people would respond to such an awkward and maybe 'dumb' question.

Trick question. All people don't understand other languages. No one understands all languages.

Some people don't have any need for another language and while it is interesting to learn other languages, it is also a lot of work, difficult to keep up the new language unless you have access to that cultural unit, and costly as well.

First thought that pops into my head since you said satirical question is they need to have their ears cleaned out. Have to hear to understand. Or they are so overly obsessed with their own language they think it is persons speaking different language responsibility to learn to speak their language.

cuz other people don't learn the languages,they only know some languages.Such as english,spanish,german.
