We have a babysitter that whenever she is at our house babysitting she always washes the dishes, while I appreciate the gesture She does a terrible job on them they always end up greasy and still coverd in crap and I end up washing them all again, I never leave many dishes in the sink to begin with so should I just let her do them and continue to re wash or how can I politely tell her not to do them?

Both are COD in the dictionary.
ALSO, what is the English word for these: "le brosme", "le flanc du poisson". ' Flank 'doesn't sound good in English.

I have been doing a worksheet for school and I think I must've spelt one of the words wrong so I'm not sure how to translate the sentence back to english as it's not in any dictionary - oops!
Can anybody tell me what this sentence is most likely to be in english (using the future tense):
Die kranke Katze wird sicher diesen Käse frißen.

It's obviously the frißen that's spelt wrong, I know there's a word freißen which means to break or something.

when americans talk about 'a british accent' do they mean an english accent? i know we probably all sound the same to americans, but they seem to recognize irish accents and scottish accents fine! Also, has anyone else noticed that people from britain (like me) rarely descibe themselves as british, but more commonly say their english or welsh ot whatever, and see their province as a seperate country with its own parliament and such like. But americans always talk about britain as if england ireland scottland and wales as besing 'states' of the united kningdom.

Salam,

I'm teaching myself Arabic and at the moment I'm learning how to write. I would like to know why when you write such words as "choukran" in Arabic script, there seems to be no letter to signify the N at the end of the word. It seems to me, when I read "شكرا", that I would say it as "choukra"... Can anyone please tell me why?
