I say....MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Even if the other people are Jewish or another religion. Christmas is what I celebrate and I should have the right to say what I wish and celebrate....am I right or wrong?

That you don't have already, it should be from the top of list.

Me -- I want 2 set of round trip tickets (Toronto-Barbados & Toronto-Prague)
A laptop with wireless connection (one that detects connection nearby), has to be a fast one, too
Money
Neat clothes
A brand new PC computer

I know those are a lot to ask for, but I'm just letting you know what I wish to have. :)

Now, your turn to spit out your Christmas list.

Mine is Christmas because I love the holiday food, snow (occassionally in PA), and yes, I love giving presents, but mostly I love spending time with my family.

He didn't die on a cross for to pay for my sins; Jesus did. All Santa does is come around once a year to give people material posessions. What good are material posessions when compared to eternal salvation?

Parents and family members save up to what might take a years worth of work just to provide gift's for their children and younger relatives.

Now what I do not understand is why do they claim that these gift's were brought to them by "Santa Clause" ? He does not even exists (And yes, I do know he is baised on a Saint)

Why give children the impression that someone else gave them these gift's and see them caring and loving and imaginary thing, instead of just giving them the gifts directly and receiving the thanks for the hard work "YOU" NOT Santa put to get them the gifts?

Do you think that this practice is not fair for parents that struggle to get the gifts just so that their children won't be disappointed that "Santa" didn't give them a gift? And is it fair that at the end of the day children belive that this was Santa's doing and not their own loving parents?

And please only serious answers. Thank you.

It has been about 10 years or so that I have been asked this question. Now, my grandchildren, ages 6 and 8, are asking. And then when a grown man said he wanted to know when Santa was born. I wanted to laugh my you know what off, but couldn't in front of my grandchildren.
Any help to explain to them would be greatly appreciated.

Last christmas foreigner groups gathered in a meeting in Ottawa Canada. They wanted the city to ban all nativity scenes and even the word christmas from signs to commercials to newspaper ads. basically the wanted to abolish the word christmas. now Im very respectful towards foreighners, however when I heard of this I was enraged.
