I say....MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Even if the other people are Jewish or another religion. Christmas is what I celebrate and I should have the right to say what I wish and celebrate....am I right or wrong?

Unless I know the person, and I know that they are not Christian, then I always say Merry Christmas. In todays age, it is not always easy to tell what religion someone is, especially with all of the cross-breeding that has been going on in the recent past.

However, if you want to be completely PC about the entire situation, the holiday season consists of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Chanukah (or however they spell it), Kwanza (the fake holiday that it is), and New Years.

Lastly, though, this is the United States of America, and, unless I have forgotten my history like so many Right-wingers out there, we do have the FREEDOM of speech. Therefore, say what you will, I will continue to say MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

HO, HO, HO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with you. You celebrate Christmas so there is nothing wrong with saying "Merry Christmas." You could also say "Happy Holidays" as well. It shouldn't matter. It's not like you know which people celebrate Christmas and which people don't by just looking at them. Even if they are Jewish or some other religion, they will understand what you mean.

Just say whatever you feel like saying. The only people that get offended by someone saying "Merry Christmas" are the prudes anyway! Would you be offended if someone said "Happy Hanuka"? I seriously doubt that you would be offended, you would probably giggle a little and say thank you, Merry Christmas. Don't worry about what the prudes think, they will ALWAYS find something that they are not happy with, because they tend to be very unhappy people in general!

Say what's in your heart to say. If Merry Christmas is what you feel that's what you should say. America was built on cultural and religious differences so no one should be offended by Merry Christmas. Even if it's not PC I still say Merry Christmas to everyone during the season.

I always say Merry Christmas too. But my employer makes us answer the phone with Happy Holidays. For me personally either way is fine, it's just a nice way to wish other well during the holidays.

RIGHT!!!! It's Merry Christmas in our country!!! If they wished you a happy day from their religion in their country, would it offend you? No! The ones who get offended are going to be that way anyway, don't worry about 'em. I hope you have a Merry Christmas too, btw!! :)

You're right. You shouldn't be expected to change your ways to make anyone else happy. Keep it up and have a very Merry Christmas!!

If you do not know what someone celebrates or know they do not celebrate Christmas, it's more polite to say Happy Holidays. Why would you say Merry Christmas to those who do not celebrate it?

If you don't care, that relays to me that you are selfish and think it's all about you and nobody else matters.

It's Merry Christmas for those of us who celebrate it. I say Happy Hannukah to my Jewish friends, and Happy Kwanzaa to those who celebrate that. Those who haven't any celebrations that time of year shouldn't criticize those of us who do --- and they should WORK on the holiday days! Enough of this junk every year.....

You have the right to say whichever greeting you like, but if you cared about people other than yourself and your beliefs, you would say Happy Holidays to a mixed group or someone who's religious orientation you do not know.

I'd think people would want to be conscious of the fact that someone may not celebrate the same holiday and, in the spirit of the season, give a "Happy Holidays", rather than being selfish and only acknowledging their own celebration.
