no. Giving my money to others who stuff it into their pockets has gone out of style in my area.

I am a church pianist. Our church celebrates 3 different Christmas Eve services, all with a very different 'flavor' to them. We have a 5 o'clock children's service, that is pretty much run (or acted out) by the children. My piano students have been assisting in providing the music for this service now for the past 10 years. The 7 o'clock is the formal service with the adult choir singing, etc. The 11 o'clock, however, is my favorite. There is just something about hearing "Silent Night' sung acappella at midnight by candlelight. Boring? Not even....after all these many years, I am still brought to tears!

What an fool, truthfully you basically elect to persecute somebody so which you have invented a scenario that, very hardly if ever in any respect, truthfully happens. that is way a lot greater probable for a so referred to as Christian like your self to attack an atheist or every person else that disagrees with you. I guess you're a form of Westboro idiots waving the 'God hates fags' banners. If God hated every person does he no longer have the skill to interfere? The bible claims God knows you from the time you're 'knitted at the same time on your mothers womb', if he knows at that time that they are going to be gay or atheist why does he no longer do something at that time? could that is that he's not all-powerful and all understanding or does he in basic terms no longer exist? via ways, Americas founding fathers have been Secularists. learn your history.

We don't always go to church ON Christmas, it usually depends what day Christmas falls on. We follow the season with an advent Calendar and wreath. I want to go to a Midnight Mass this year, because I haven't been to one in forever. We celebrate Christ throughout the year, not just on the day set aside for His birth.

Let's re-think the word and the meaning of Christmas, shall we?
Yes, to answer your question. I do.
Last year, my son was a little 6 week old itty-bitty, and we were asked to become our church's very first live nativity scene. Just a tid-bit of info... our church is over 150 years old.
We said "YES!" I was Mary, Hubby was Joseph, our daughter was an angel, and our son was baby Jesus. It really was a memorable moment in our lives, and a special part of our church's history. It was moving.
There is nothing like Christmas. No other holiday brings so much warmth into our lives. Wonder why? :^)

No i find church has become way to commercial, i don't feel the need to go anymore because half the time all the people who go to church and act holy on sunday are out doing god knows what the rest of the week saying anything, and all it is, is the church begging the congrigation for money because they spent too much on some 13 foot tree and need to pay their electric bill or whatever, its not church anymore its another place for people who do no good to feel good about themselves because they think that they devoted one hour a week to god! ha good luck!
