Your cold winters make my fairy wings all brittle and I long for some sun. I don't want to work too hard collecting too many teeth though so not too expensive...

Everywhere is expensive at Christmas. Staff get paid double time so the costs are passed on to you. In addition, many hotels become full-board only over that period. Grab a brochure or two from your local travel agent.
But, if that hasn't put you off, almost anywhere on the Red Sea is pleasantly warm at that time of year.

It can be quite expensive to fly somewhere at Christmas. Even Mexico (which is usually the cheapest place for us to visit) doubles or sometimes triples in price. We are going to the Caribbean this year, but I booked LAST Christmas. Prices have gone sky high since then. I would suggest you hold off on this great idea until next Christmas and start hunting for good prices now, and book as soon as you can. Plus, this will give you something really fun to look forward to throughout the upcoming year!

If it wouldn't be too far for you to fly, could you please fly to the top of my Christmas Tree? Winter is usually sunny here; I'll position you by the south facing window and feed you fairy cakes and egg nogg. I will gladly massage your wings with some jojoba oil. But you must promise not to talk too loudly as my family might freak out, even if I tell them you were made in Japan.

Florida. Check with Airtran. They always have some deep discount flights. Christmas itself may be blacked out of their discount fares but you can go to Florida before and return after New Year.

There's nothing like wearing shorts and flip flops on Christmas. It's awesome.

If you're in the UK; The Canary Isles, Gambia, Cape Verde.

Frufru....it depends where you are! The Canary Islands would be great, and really cheap if you are in Spain, but a bit pricey if your journey will begin Melbourne, Australia....LOL
