Holidays - November 2007

I dont know why but I have this really strong urge to put my christmas tree and decorations up, I was even out at the weekend looking for new lightey up silhouettes for my windows and a lightey up garland for my fireplace lol, I know its far too early and my bf and my little girl think I'm crazy lol

Whats the earliest I can put it all up without looking like a ruit cake lol

Well my birthday is on december 24 and my best friend's birthday is on december 31 and we wanted to go somewhere and invite a couple of friends and do something. however, we don't know what to do or where to go..our only idea is to go to the mall and watch a movie..but we did that last year..any other ideas?

It is my first time meeting them because they live in another state. They have already expressed (to my boyfriend) that they have bought me a gift. There are 7 total: Mom, Dad, sister, sister's husband, and their 2 children, boy (13) and girl (10).

I was thinking a Christmas basket that included things for everyone, instead of individualized gifts, since I dont know their personal interests (yet).

Every year we draw names for gift giving. It seems that every years the kids get more than they need. We would like to eliminate the wasteful spending. Looking for suggestions on how to encourage everyone to pick on charity of choice to give to for the holidays. We still plan on getting together and celebrating the holidays. Today is my 20th birthday, and I usually don't cellebrate it, because I have had bad experiences in the past (family anf friends forgetting ect.) but was so excited up untill about an hour ago.
I was going to go out for dinner tonight with my best friend, her bf, my fiancee and a few acqauitances. I hardly ever get to see her because her bf doesn't like her seeing her friends.
Now she has conjunctivitis and she can't come.
I'm so sick of feeling let down on my birthday, even though it's not her fault. So now I'm not doing anything becasue she was the whole reason I wanted to, and now I just feel really lonley.

I don't want to feel sorry for myself, so what do you think I should do to get out of this bad mood. I really want to enjoy my birthday and for once not have a terrible day.
