We put up one artificial green tree in the family room with white lights. Then we cover it with ornaments, some of which have been passed down for generations. It's beautiful. We all love it and have a wonderful time decorating it together.

I am planning to plant a live tree outside this year instead of decorating a dead (or artificial one). I saw an ad for some solar-powered twinkle lights---if I can find it again (or see something similar in the store) I think that would be great as I could light it up at the end of our long driveway instead of trying to run an extension cord & using electricity!
Our kids are older and tree inside is less important. I am really focusing on paring down celebration to simple meaningful traditions that honor the birth of Christ and avoid the commercialization and stress so many people get bogged down with.

An artificial green one which we put all the ornaments, lights, and everything on it that will make it a true Christmas tree. It's the only one we put up.

We've got at least 3 trees, all of which are artificial.
The newest one is set upstairs in the living room where most of the Christmas decorations are.
The old one that used to be upstairs resides in the basement.
Finally we have a small one. I usually keep it in my room, but brought it to work last year since they allow us to decorate our workplace for Christmas.

After Christmas last year, we bought a 10 ft. artificial tree. We have tall ceilings in our living room. It's not pre-lit so I can't wait to see how long it will take to get the lights on it.

I would get an artificial tree because a real one is too much of a hassle. They make a mess if you move it plus they're more expensive. I would get a green one too because those are like more traditional.

I had an original Silver one that I bought in a garage sale. When I moved, It got wet and rusted!
I have one from the $1 store that has been up in the kitchen since 2005. It's got little craft backets with strawberry shapped candy in it. And the ornaments are cats and dogs.
I have a medium sized green tree for my SOUTHWEST collection. I have almost every FELIZ NAVID ornament from Hallmark. And some chilies and stuff like that!

One artificial tree in the living room. Sometimes I make ornaments. I like just clear lights or one color of the colored lights. Ribbon is nice instead of a garland.
