If I wanted lights all in one colour I would try Myer as they are always very colour co-ordinated with their Christmas trees. My friend had her tree all in purple about five years ago and that is where she bought everything. Otherwise, go to Go-lo or the reject shop and buy heaps of coloured fairy lights and then change all the globes to purple on one set buy using the globes from the other sets. You could then give the rest of the sets to family members or friends.

Paul Sessel with http://www.CreativeDisplays.com

Home Depot and Lowes are good sources stateside. Check your big outdoor/hardware store.

The USA price is about $2.24/box of 100 count Mini lights.

Both Creative Displays and Action Lighting will sell you commercial grade lights.

I would suggest you join http://www.PlanetChristmas.com and converse with the members in Australia. They could lead you in the direction you need to go, or you could find somebody to ship you a few.

How many are you wanting? What style are you wanting?

Do you have a menards in Austraila?
Or you can find a hobby store and look for stained glass paint.
get the clear Christmas lights and paint each bulb.
I know its a lot to do but, if you can't find purple bulbs, I would do that.

You could try a Garden Ridge or a Hobby Lobby store in the US. They both have web sites I think. Good luck!
