those that like it have christmas pudding with hot white rum sauce and those who don't have 'Peggys pudding' which is easy to make and tastes fantastic.
2 packs chocolate chip cookies
sherry ( cream )
2 cartons of double cream
grated chocolate or hundreds and thousands
whip the cream until it holds its shape
pour some sherry into a cereal bowl and put 8 cookies into it. Rotate the cookies and remove before they get too soggy. Place the soaked cookies onto a large plate in two rows of four. Cover with a layer of cream. Repeat this twice more and make sure that with the final coat of cream you coat all down the sides totally covering any cookie. Sprinkle with either grated chocolate or hundreds and thousands and put into the fridge for at least two hours. When you cut into it do it diagonally and people will never guess what the main ingredient is. You can also do this with ginger nut biscuits and brandy. Both are even better the next day!

Christmas Pudding, Brandy Cream, Brandy Butter, and we always have a trifle or chocolate roulade for my daughter (and nieces if they are there) as they don't like Christmas Pud.

I always have a christmas pudding, but I'm afraid to say, no one eats it. We flambe it, often. I have the most flambed pudding ever. And if it's still uneaten by New Years, we drown in it custard. And I have a trifle. Which everyone does eat.

I make a lot of different kinds of cookies and hand dipped chocolates and other candy before Christmas, so people nibble on those. But, for after the big meal, when most people are stuffed, I just make some piesl...pumpkin, pecan and apple, usually.
