Holidays - January 2007

I live in the Bay Area so anything in San Jose and SF and Sacramento are all great options. I want to dress up but not be the only one who did. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I hear about Kwanzaa on TV or in what I read, but I don't know anyone who actually celebrates Kwanzaa or who doesn't think it is a joke.

Also if you really do celebrate it, here is a question. What is the difference between celebrating your race during the week of Kwanzaa or celebrating your race during (the month of February) African American Month?

I am putting together an event reading of love poems at a poetry house for Valentines Day. What famous love poems would you like to hear? I am especially stuck looking for comic ones (Wendy Cope is good though) and also more modern (but famous) ones such as ones written in the 1960s and in this decade (the noughties!?). Any ideas?
