So when I was giving out candy this Halloween, I had several adults who were with their chidren who also had their own bags and held them out for me to give them candy too! (and no, they weren't dressed up!) Is it just me or is this incredibly tacky?

How do you puree a pumpkin, without buying the canned version at the store or at a similiar place? We just got one recently and we want to make pumpkin pie, starting with scratch. Thank you alot!

Halloween is ghostes, devils, and things that may scare you celebrating death basicly.Christams is celebarte jessus birth.It also has a morale that giving is better then receving when you give gifts. I know christmas might "offend" you since it is not your religon. But don't you think that Halloween might offend you more. With celebarting death. We send Halloween cards. But we send "happy holiday" cards carefull not to offend anyone.School are so carefull not to offend anyone that they have not not thought about Halloween. We should celebarate Christmas in schools instead of calling it winter party.Or when your kids has a concert do not call it winter concert call it christmas concert.Because they are so carefull about christmas they should be just as carefull about halloween.When i was going to school a kid had to go outside the classroom becasue of the halloween activitys. Then mabey we should do that with Christmas!

This holiday is already so commercialized that it has lost its charm for me. Stores claim they have to get a head start to stay competetive, but I think that's bogus. I don't want to hear the word "Christmas" until the day after Thanksgiving. How about the rest of you? Am I alone?

My children are ages 6, 3, and 7 weeks. 3 weeks after i had my baby, my husband had to have surgery to remove his appendix. Just this last Monday, I had to have my gall bladder taken out. Oh, the joy of having divorced parents. This will be our first Thanksgiving as a married couple, both of our parents are divorced and re-married/ or dating other people, ALL of them want us to spend the entire Thanksgiving with them, which is nearly impossible to go to 4 different places on Thanksgiving, especially since they all live about an hour and a half apart from each other. Should we just have our own Thanksgiving, and not worry about the rest of them? We could just tell them we want to spend the Holiday alone, or would that be rude? THEN, there's Christmas coming up, too! UGH! What do we do!? I don't want to hurt any family members feelings, but I don't want us to wear ourselves out going from place to place to place, ya know??
