I go trick or treating with my childern. I dress up, but I do not take my own bag. Trick or treat night is for childern. Not for adults. Some people just have a hard time growing up. My thoughts TACKY!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think it's tacky at all!! Why is it tacky for an adult to want to have as much fun as their children? I have been trick or treating as long as I can remember, even now, and I am 50 years old. So what?? There are times when I give my treats to kids in the hospital that couldn't go trick or treating themselves.
What do you do with all the left-over candy you have?? Probably give it to your own kids, so that you can just get rid of the stuff.
Have you ever given or thought to give it too people or children that are in the hospital that didn't get the chance to dress up and make fools of themselves as the other kids did? I bet not!!
Now how do you feel? Maybe next time before you speak, you could think of ways to say that some adults are trick or treating for those less fortunate and it's ok with me.

I think everyone who said it was tacky are those people that love to follow every trend that comes out. Youre allowed to do whatever you want, and if your bored on halloween, then go for it, trick or treat, some adults like to be out in the open air, scare people and just have fun. Its called life. you shouldn't do what other people say just because THEY dont do it. thats stupid. Have fun and live life, celebrate halloween thats what its there for, this is why they make costumes for adults. Some children want thier parents to come to the door with them and get candy, as a way for the children to overcome shyness.
if you think that adults trick o treating is tacky, then you might as well think that adults exchanging gifts and decorating a tree for christmas is tacky as well right? right?

Incredibly tacky. I had some adults too. I also had some high school kids that pushed ahead of some little ones. I just told them to move, that the small ones get served first!

It's totally tasteless. I can understand people liking Halloween and Trick or Treating in adulthood but the incentive most people have for giving out candy on Halloween is the desire to see creative costumes and silly kids. For an adult to show up and request candy is ridiculous, like you owe them something for bringing their kids to beg.

I wouldn't have given them anything...and told them you bought candy for the kids.
Very tacky. I had some trick or treaters that weren't even eating solid foods yet (and sleeping!). Sure, they were dressed up, but tell me who was really going to eat that candy.

Try not to get too annoyed about it. Some people don't understand that their childhood is over, gone forever. Next year, keep a bowl of the gross candy that everyone hates set aside for the adults that come to your door. They will get the message.

It is tacky. I can understand an adult doing it at a neighbors house if they were friends only.
