Holidays are more than gatherings and gifts; there is meaning behind the celebrations. How do you help young people understand the important gifts of American citizenship? Other than cookouts and fireworks, how do you celebrate with kids? Also, does anyone have any easy craft ideas for little ones?

Hello i wanted to know if anyone knows any info about the 4th of july celebration at sunrise marketplace? They have a fireworks show i saw a commercial on fox40 they said go to fox40.com but it doesnt say anything about it like i dont know where it is when it is and the time and if they have firework show? I live on a beautiful stretch of beach on the Northwest coast. Every 4th of July this area attracts literally thousands of tourists. Supposedly they come here to celebrate the birth of our great nation.

What I don't understand is: why do they leave behind such a terrible mess? It seems kind of silly to celebrate your love for America by finding the most gorgeous spot you can, then defiling it with exploding trash.

If these people really love their country, shouldn't they pick up after themselves? It doesn't seem like too much to ask.
