Fireworks or maybe a cookout

We're having family and friends stop by in kind of an open house event. We've cooked up a huge brisket and have lots of finger foods. Everyone who stops by has to sign our huge wall poster about "Why America Rocks." The kids are enjoying doing wall art for the poster, and it creates a memory for us to see where we were at this time each year. We save, them and drag out the old ones year after year. We always end up with things people are thankful for that we are free to enjoy in this great country. We'll watch "Independence Day," play board games, and end up with watching the fireworks over the capital. No fireworks are allowed here because of the draught, so the nation's fireworks will have to do. :)

Happy Fourth!

We are going to Huntington Beach to run in the Surf City 5k race. We may stay and watch the parade and then we will see if anyone in our running club is going to have a party. If not, we will come home and take a nap! 3 of my kids have to work, so maybe we just take the 13 yr. old with us. I am also trying to get my 18 year old to go as he is in the Marines and this is the last time he gets to come home for awhile. I want to see how fast he can run the race since he's in such great shape now! :)

Well, I don't know really because yesterday my uncle hurt his back. I may have to be at the hospital this 4th of July. My family and I still plan to do some fire works though at home. We just have to hope he'll be okay.

Sit at home with my cat and girlfriend. Avoid the fireworks. Most importantly, not be at work.

Sit at my station and go on fire/med runs over and over and over. People are just plain stupid with fireworks around here.
