You are with 5 friends just fininshing a restaraunt meal and its time to go. Everyone is avoiding to ask the waiter for the bill as he/she may have to pay for it. What is a appropriate way to do this without risking to pay for the bill yourself ?

What you say and how your say it makes a big different. Your gestures and eye contacts are strong indicators as well. But how should it be used ?

I went to a well known place that sells tires, and after spending some time time figuring out all the details and paying for my new tires, I ask the guy how long he thinks it will take. I'm not trying to rush him, I just want to know if I should have someone pick me up or just wait. He says 45 minutes. I figure I'll wait. Well almost 2 hours later it's done. I didn't really care how long it took, but I didn't want to wait for 2 hours. Was I wrong to be peeved?

I walked in right after him...basically took the key from his hand. He smiled. At first I thought he was just smiling like 'Hey'....then I caught a whiff and thought he was smiling about the odor he left...but then I saw what he left choking the bowl and I almost dropped to my knees and vomited.

What should I do?

Can I go to management with a gross complaint like this?

I'm off to bed but you ladies might know why. Dad3 always leaves the seat up even though I say it's neater if he puts down the seat and the cover after he's had a pee. Teak wood by the way. Is this refusal a macho statement and if it is, what the f*** is he saying?

Especially when someone is obviously in pain or asking something about a troubled, disabled child? What is wrong with people?? How can they be so cold and rude as to say really ugly things to a rape victim???

This is really important to me and I have everythin g planned to the tee. People are offering to bring stuff. (food, drink, etc) I'm not sure what the proper etique is. I did not mention pot luck in the invitations so I don't want some people to bring stuff and make the others feel bad for not bringing something. Should I just say no to the people who offer or just let them bring it?
