Out of respect for those who suffered through that horrible time and who do not wish to be reminded of what they endured, I have deleted my earlier question. I deeply appreciate the responses that the question received. Again, thank you and God bless you all.

Baseball
Two boys were playing hockey on the pond on Boston Common, when one is attacked by a vicious Rottweiler. Thinking quickly, the other boy took his hockey stick and managed to wedge it down the dog's collar and twist, luckily breaking the dog's neck and stopping the attach.
A reporter who was strolling by sees the incident, and rushes over to interview the boy. "Young Bruins Fan Saves friend from Vicious Animal..." he starts writing in his notebook. "But, I'm not a Bruins Fan", the little hero replied. "Sorry, since we're in Boston, I just assumed you were", said the reporter and starts again. "Red Sox Fan Rescues Friend from Horrific attack..." he continues to write in his notebook. "I'm not a Red Sox fan either!" The boy said. "I assumed everyone in Boston was either a Bruins or Red Sox fan. So, what team do you root for? the reporter asked. "I'm a Yankees fan!" the child beamed. The reporter starts a new sheet in his notebook and writes: "Little Bastard from New York Kills Beloved Family Pet".

I'm a retired teacher; I love to sing and so do many of the elderly who live here. I've tried everything I could think of to find and hire a part-time choral/choir instructor to help us develop some harmony and to no avail. Do you have any suggestions?

What am I doing wrong, or that I shouldn't be doing. I notice that sometimes if I go back to a question that I have answered, there will be "edit, delete" after my answer. Why? I'm not intentionally doing whatever it the reason for it

Kukla, Fran & Ollie? H.R. Puffinstuff? Captain Video (on the Dumont Television Network)? Arthur Godfrey and His Friends (anyone see Julius LaRosa get fired on-air?). December Bride, Peter & Gladys, what others?

Bonus: How many remember the musical interludes between programs, when shows were single-sponsored and it hadn't occurred to anyone yet to sell free-standing ad time? Les Paul and Mary Ford, Liberace, and who else?

I ordered a present for my sister via the internet but although posted a couple of weeks ago, it hasn't turned up yet. All I can think of is to buy something else, quick and post it off asap.

Any suggestions please for lady in her late 60's?

Not too heavy as I'll have to send it first class. She loves to have a wrapped gift so doesn't enjoy getting gift tokens.

If there is no such thing as Global Warming as the Gov tells us, why are the Polar caps melting at an alarming rate? After countless photos showing how much has melted and with the use of evidence scientists have supplied dating the soils and the ice and have concluded that the poles haven't done this for 65million years(about the time of the dino extinction) is the government going to wait until the seas rise and everything dries up before admitting they have been lying to the public?

this is our second marriage. this time around i think because we didn't have the pressures of raising children, they are all adults, our finacial situation is much stronger, we are retired so don't have employment issues, and we are a lot more laid back. of course being soulmates really helps. we really did save the best for last, we live, laugh, dream and love together. we have clocked up almost 14 yrs, and our respect, compassion, and our desire to share the rest of our lives together grows stronger and stronger.

I was behind a grey-haired man in a fishing hat, driving an old, out-of-state shortbed with home-made side rails, loaded with this and that. He had two bumper stickers. One said something about Ashcroft, the other said, A Thousand Points of Light, and We Get Stuck with the Dim Bulb.

I have been busy this week with helping others.
I know one couple that is very poor people but they spend there time a couple weeks before Christmas collecting gifts and taking to little children that is not having a real good Christmas.
I know these people never have a gift to wake up to on Christmas morning.
Danielle (My Daughter) & I went and bought presents for them, wrapped beautiful, make cookies and delivered to their house...
It was sad they were so Happy.
We told them they could not open until Christmas morning.

So any ideals out there of what we can do for a good deed at
Christmas time?

Last but down least:
*~~Happy Holidays To All~~*

I work at a retirement home serving senior citizens their breakfeast and lunch.

Now I see this resident sitting there at her table.

She sat at that table for about 6 and a half hours.
The nurses didn't pick up this resident and she can't say much because she's 99 years old.

But this kind of thing gets me mad when the nurses won't pick up a person and make her wait. I consider that neglect.

What can I do to help her out so that this won't happend again?

that YA is so popular? I first came here because there was nothing decent on TV and then, I guess, I got hooked. For me it makes my brain work - a good thing. And its a little like having a conversation ... albeit a short one ... with an intellegent friend. How about you?

But what's with the scores? Are there any advantages to having a really high one other than the 'king of the hill' factor? And if you're naturally inquisitive (as ( am), how do you ever reach such high scores. I lose as much as I gain most days by asking questions.
