If I were to see you in the store, could I say that I think you are brave and beautiful for wearing Niqab?

Or would that be weird?

I saw a lady in JCpenny and she was so beautiful and mysterious. I was completely mesmerized!

I wanted to talk to her so bad but I was a little intimidated. I am a woman so I hope that the next time I could talk to you without you feeling weird. I would like that.

However human rights groups have protested that it is against the rights of those who choose to disguise their facial expressions so their modesty is protected. Teachers have a difficult job as it is and with the recent news that Asians (News24 BBC 20/03/07) are least likely to report child abuse, then how can a teacher at least stand a possible way of being able to identify by facial expression those at risk. I do not understand why any society can find it necessary and to justify the hiding of identity, other than to disguise their purpose or to subjugate members of their own society or cultural group.

for example, i was watching espn a couple of days ago, and a college basketball team was being interviewed. . . the reporter/interviewer in the crowd asks i guess a question similar to the question prior and one of the basketball players answers "I just told you" "i already told you" in such a negative tone. . . also when i play basketball at the park, a lot of black people will put others down and just cuss/yell at their face if they committed a turnover or did something wrong they didn't like

I've used the term many times but now that I think of it, people call books, cars, houses and even movies gay. The other day my friend tells me this guy in our class is gay, when he's not even gay. He has a girlfriend and has tones of pictures of him and his g/f making out. Then why do people replace other words with gay all the time. Instead of saying that car is messed up, stupid, dumb, broken they say gay. Did any of you guys, ever use that term for no reason and why do you think people use it so frequently.

My roommate and i were watching a show on HBO titled "Big Love" and got into a very heated disagreement about the differrences and things men do that women haven't and in most cases won't do. which brings me to my question: Has there ever in ANY culture been women practicing poligamy ?. I personally feel that it's not in a womens nature to desire to be married to or want more than one man at a time,Could i be wrong?

I was recently watching The Tyra Show and she had a guest on there and they were talking about racism. They were discussing how white people are mainly the ones who throw racist comments. I know there are som racist white people as there are in all other races!! They were talking about how they would like to be white for just a weekend becuase it would be so easy. I disagree with that because if you are white you are being a victim of racism because people of a different race than you don't like you because they think you are racist. Who agrees with me? And why do all the minorities blam white people for the racism in the world today!

Thailand (2 names male, and one surname), China (2 female names, 2 surnames), Mongolia (2 male names, 1 female name, and 1 surname), Filipino (1surname). I'm making my own scifiction stories and am trying to incorporate people from other places of the world, but it's hard to find good names, and surnames, especially from countries in the east. I've already have some from Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and South East Asia, but the Asian/Pacific Ilander names are hard for me to find. Thanks to all : )

I'm not a vegetarian, and I'm not trying to start a fight. I'm just curious as to whether this has ever been an issue with feminists.

I mean, if one were so inclined, one could say that the carnivorous side of the farming industry teaches our society that males should be encouraged to have rigorous intercourse with any female in sight, while females should be slaughtered and have their bones stripped of flesh.

Growing up in farm country, I understand completely that the nature of livestock demands this sort of protocol, but I'm sure that there are idealists out there who would think it's horribly unjust. So, back to my question: has this ever been a significant issue among feminists?

Negoes and african americans. I'm a canadian, born and raised but I'm still called an african american. You call white people white, but you can't call black people black. Why is that?
Another thing: Why do white people thing they can just bust out the N-word? It doesn't matter whether you're using it maliciously, or jokingly, you can't say it. People say it around me and expect me not to say anything. I get mad, and they're supprised. Can anyone answer those two questions for me?
