The National Association for the Advancement of Caucasian Latinos (NAACL) is an organization dedicated to reversing the harmful effects of governmental and media stereotyping of Latinos. We especially represent the interests of the at least 16,907,850 Caucasian Hispanics in America as measured by the 2000 Census.*

Hispanics are not a racial group. The word Hispanic refers to national origin. Hispanics can be of any race. Cameron Diaz, Emelio Estevez, Jimmy Smits, Sammy Sosa and Alberto Fujimori** are all Hispanic but are not all members of the same race. Many millions of Hispanic Americans are descended from Spain and other European countries. Like their ancestors, these Hispanics are white.

I know what you are talking about. Hispanics or latino is not an ethnicity. Did you know that before 1970 there was no hispanic label in the US. Before this, white hispanics were considered white. Ex: Watch I loVe Lucy. Her husband is Cuban. Back then colored people could not be on tv but the cuban had white status. Marriages between white and hispics were common. White hispanics were not allowed to marry non white hispanics , asians, or blacks

Scientists have just conveniently grouped races into Caucasoid, Mongloid, Australoid and *******, and called everone else a mere subset of these races, that is a gross oversimpification of facts, If you observe other groups like South Asians and Hispanics you will discover that they bear no resemblance to the above mentioned race classifications.
