They don't seem to when they're still outside, it's when they come in they suddenly seem to realise they're half frozen! We went out for a meal for Mother's Day on Sunday and my son was playing outside in a practical blizzard on a climbing frame. At one point he got stuck half way up a ladder and his friend came charging in to tell me and a man at another table said "Stuck?! He's probably frozen to it". The whole room was laughing!!

If my mum were here she would so tell you off! She always had this thing about 'keeping your kidneys warm'. If they were standing still then yes, they would feel the cold, but if they're running around their circulation should keep them out of trouble. At least you don't live in Russia, they don't let their kids walk to school when it's too cold, cause they don't move fast enough and have a tendency to freeze to death.

What happens is that for fun and joy they dont really seem to care about unless at the last moment when they get sick, this is what I have been told by my doctor.
My little one use to do the same but I dont let him now and even if i do i make sure that he is wearing warm clothes to keep himself warm.
Make sure you do the same as they finish playing they start getting sick or cold or flu.
Hope it helped

Nah..remember when you were a kid?
Did the cold bother you?
My kids don't feel it either but then again, I don't really...my Husband is always telling me to put on a coat/jumper when its cold cos I'll still happily go out in a t shirt!

I know I sent my Daughter to school layered up looking like a mini Michelin Man and then the other kids are at school with lightweight rain jackets.

You probably have a different tolerance for cold than they do. Plus running about heats them up.

Kids are never cold. It is a scientific fact! Besides, it helps build the immune system.

Young children actually have extra fat which keeps them warmer (yes, this is true, not a made up "fact"). It is biology's attempt for their survival. Plus kids tend to use a lot more energy than adults do because they are so active, and therefore, get hotter than we do.

I dont think they do. Ive seen me with jumper and coat on and young girls outside with sleeveless tops. It makes me feel cold just looking at them.
