I read a text of a philosopher, Martha Nussbaum. She said that in India womans endure a sort of discrimination, for example:
1) there are sexual violences diffused in family context
2) there are a livel of illiteracy more high rather than mans
3) Womans are in bad sanitary and economic contitions rather than mans
4) Womans are little protected by justice

Is true that a dossier Onu in 1997 asserts that inequality between sexs are diffused in other parts of the world... But is evident that in India, like in the in phase of development countries , there are high livel of discrimination, about this.

my friend's grandmother is half mexican and people call her a black latina. even some latinos call her that. So is she a black latina or just black like she says?

she knows she is human and she does call herself black. She just wants to know could she call herself a black latina because when she says she is just black her grandmother gets mad.

I had always heard people talk about "breeds"...so, I am sorry if I said it wrong!
I didn't mean to sound like anybody was an animal!
Just wanted to know, if other Native Americans accepted the people that happened to have this culture in their family,and would they be accepted by the ones that are all American Indian?

This *just* happened to me at work (12:53 EST Jan.8th, 2007) - I had to do what is called a "mock-call" procedure. A fellow co-worker was role-playing as a "southerner" for this exercise. The role-playing was fine for the most part but he kept calling me "boy" in this ignorant southerners accent. I'm black, he is white. If this happened to you how would you feel? Whould you care at all or just let it slide, or would you have a few chioce words with him afterwards?

I see all these programs helping afican children almost on every television channal but never see help for american children.

I traveled across the country and lived on the street. I have seen starving people everyday.

I did see a very limited help programs for food and shelter, but only if you were a minority, otherwise you were out of luck.

Why can't program help everyone instead of just a select.

Even help programs seem to be racist

I guess being white or american your out of luck in todays world.

I think it's backwards, I think a women should have multiple husbands not the other way around. Women are more needy than men are and they like to be taken care of ( in every way).

a friend of mine said that smoking weed is better than smoking, he said that weed makes you high, but is actually not addictive.... is that true?
And if so, why in some countries weed is illegal while smoking is not. is that because it makes you high? Some also say that it's a government conspiracy, they make a lot of money from that tax (cigar) that they can't do from weed so they banned weed..... is this also true?

The All Blacks are New Zealands World conquering Rugby team, not World Champions but generally regarded as the most powerful in the world. As the name might imply the majority of players who hold the honour and distinction of being an All Black are Moari and Pacific Islander. All various shades of black and certainly not considered White or caucasion. Do you think being called all black to them is an insult ? far from it its what every kiwi dreams of being. (Im an Aussie by the way). So why do so many people cry RACISM the moment someone points out the bleedingly obvious that we all come from different backgrounds, there is black and white and various shades inbetween. If your white your white - your not nonblack ok and if your black your black your not nonwhite are you ! Take the example of a world conquering Rugby team, wear it with pride as a badge of honour, even make it the colour of your "jersey" and infact your official name ! Celebrate our diversity and enough with the crying!
