I'm Italian and have been told I've got a mixed accent.I was just wondering if you get annoyed by accents different from the British standard.

I like all accents,so long as I can understand the person thats speaking.

Depends on the specific accent and the person who's speaking. American cultural imperialism means that about a quarter of our TV is in US-accented English anyway, so we've been a little desensitised.
By far the least popular accent in the UK is South African/ Zimbabwean (most Brits can't tell the difference) but that's also due to the tendency of people from those countries coming here, often coming across as very arrogant, and complaining about EVERYTHING.
Which is pretty rich- it might rain a lot more here than southern Africa, but we don't have half as much rape, murder or carjacking...

I love accents, I try to use at least 3 a day. Welsh Irish and a bit of henglish at work. I have to speak in Henglish at work cos they worry when I do the welsh 'look you'

i'm british and i love accents, my fave has got to be jamaican, love the old south amercan accent, not so much new york style

depends where u from. i dont like the bronx accent but i like certain southern accents.
but i certainly dont get annoyed by them

i luv american accents i have this boy that goes to my skool and hes from texas and he still hasnt lost his accent its so cute.
