a friend of mine said that smoking weed is better than smoking, he said that weed makes you high, but is actually not addictive.... is that true?
And if so, why in some countries weed is illegal while smoking is not. is that because it makes you high? Some also say that it's a government conspiracy, they make a lot of money from that tax (cigar) that they can't do from weed so they banned weed..... is this also true?

While some of what your friend said is true weed is actually illegal mostly do to lobbyists in washington. Specifically from the lumber industry and dupont and a few other.

Interestingly enough a recent study confirmed that thc is 100% effective against alzheimers where as the legal treatments are only 10 to 20 % with worse side effects. So in a sense reagen condemed himself with his war on drugs

Maybe because the government is in so deep, that they cannot back out now.

I always have disliked the notion that a government of free people can make a plant illegal.

Because the bastards can't tax it so they ban it. If they did make it legal, people would just grow their own. They only care about what's going to make them a buck.
