Used to live in the west of Scotland for more years than I care to remember-will never forget how prejudiced the Protestant establishment were and still are towards the immigrant Irish population in particular.
That joke of a Scottish Parliament makes soundbites about eradicating sectarianism when half of it's members are fully paid up members of the Orange Order and Freemasonic Lodges.
They make subtle suggestions about the need to abolish Catholic schools as the Catholic church have the audacity to realise their agenda and stand up to them.
Let you into a secret,brothers-people who leave and move on don't miss it half as much as you think!!

In the last few months Americans travelling to Britain were advised to 'tone it down' a bit to try and end this public image.

Have you ever watched a movie in a theater that was mostly Black? What was the experience like? My experiences have ALL been really negative...it's always a complete circus in Black theaters. People refuse to shut up, talk on their cell phones, scream at the characters onscreen to do something, etc. Also, it always seems like Black people love to bring their babies and 3 year old children to mature films...ughh, do people have no sense of what is appropriate for children to watch? In addition, their kids make so much freakin noise! As if the adults weren't loud enough, add 6 kids to the smack talk. Has anyone else had this experience? I try to avoid mostly Black theaters now. I hate to sound racist, but this has been my experience time and time again.

Following David Cameron's advise to 'hug a hoodie', I decided to give it a go.
I was walking through my town's shopping centre and came across a group of hooded youths in a corner. I believe they were discussing an issue concerning a 'bird going well mental' or some such. Anyway, I chose a youth and embraced him.
None of the group took this act of affection too kindly, and I was beaten for at least three minutes.
Any experiences?

The city I live in is liberal capital of the contry- San Francisco. They are so far lounitic left here they have gotten into the habit of spiting into the face of our military. They banned j.r.o.tc, they banned military recruitment at school, they banned a historic navy ship that fought in ww2 as a museum and monument, and depict our service men and women as awful beings. I live here, trust me- one of our district supervisors, G.Sandoval beleives we shouldn't have a military at all. He rather send cops to defend our shores. I disagree with the current managment of this war, but I also understand that sometimes war is necessary. We don't live in theory were every one loves eachother. These men and women make the ultimate sacrafice and volunterly take up arms so that we can sit here and enjoy our freedom. So please , someone tell me what the hell is wrong with these s.f ****** nuts!

My friend decided to do an experiment. We drove around the city until he saw a kid wearing a My Chemical Romance t-shirt. He shouted out the window, "HELL YEAH! MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE!" The kid yelled back, "F*** YOU!" Then he saw a kid wearing a Slayer shirt. He stuck his head out the window, and yelled in the exact same tone of voice, "HELL YEAH! SLAYER!" The kid yelled, "YEAHHHH!" Later, we saw a group of emo kids. He opened the window and yelled, "EMO!" They replied with, "f*** you." Upon seeing some metalheads, he yelled "METAL!" and they replied with, "HELL YEAHHHHHH!"

We conducted this experiment over a series of days, and not once did we recieve a positive response from the emo kids, nor did we recieve a negative response from the metal kids.

Why did the fans of emo music react in a negative manner, and the fans of metal react in a positive manner? He said basically the same thing to them, in the same tone of voice.

My boyfriend and I have been together for nine months, and we have been friends for several years.

During the entire time I have known him, I have heard him mention several times that he hates feet, that they are disgusting, and that he is aversive to touching anyone's feet and the like, which never really seemed odd to me, because I know a lot of people are grossed out by feet for whatever reason.

However, I get the feeling that maybe he just claims he hates feet to cover the fact that he actually has a foot fetish. For example, we have been in restaurants before in the summer where I have been wearing sandals, and he has subtlely reached down and started massaging my foot under the table (with other guests at the table, mind you). Also, during sex, if I am on top, he will reached around my legs and grab my feet and start rubbing them.

Anyway, it won't bother me at all if he has a foot fetish, I am just not really sure what the deal is, so I'd appreciate any reponses! Thanks!

I recently had some in-depth chats with a Brazilian girl I met on the net, we chatted a lot about Brazilian culture, economy, and international status, and so forth. But when I kinda linked Brazil to Portugal, her immediate reaction was, "Oh, I don't think Portuguese people like us, they actually quite look down on us..." then I kinda felt sorry for bringing that topic up..So I am wondering if it's true that Portuguese, I mean some of them, have really bad opinion on Brazilians? Or things are not as what my Brazilian friend said?

Recently I visited one of my friends house, she was having a get together with some of her friends. They were all of 'african american decent'. We were all drinking, I had been drinking before I even got there- so I was pertty lightweight drunk, non the less-bottom line, I said the 'N' word several times that night and they felt offended. Its nothing out of the ordinary 4 me- The "N" word is part of my every day vocab. I say it all the time to my, hispanic asian white and african american people I know--even my same friend that night.
I have never used it in the contex to suggest or even implement any sort of derrogotory remark. In all of the neighborhoods I grew up in,the word has no wrong doing or racist connotation, depending on who says it and how-- any ways before I left I apologized for saying anything offensive but told them.. " Don't worry about saying the word "n**ga", Im full blooded mexican.. I grew up with 'ni**as', my best friends are 'ni**as... I am their 'ni**a

I have found that Muslim women, and Hindu women especially will not date outside of their race. I know for a fact that they find other race's attractive. It's a Physiological gaurantee that they find other races of human beings attractive, yet they in my opinion choose to be rascist, and only date within their race.

I was under the impression that in the 21st century we were over the social misconceptions of other races, and were not ruled by centuries old rascist beliefs. I truly feel pity for women/men who allow their lives to be dictated by family members in other countries, books that carry no relativity in today's world, or social misconceptions they believe to be reality.
