This is not a conversation is case someone decide to report me, but a continuation of my question.
I posted a question about The opening of the Seals..not having a clue that it related to the bible. So my way of thinking is that if I do not know such things am still a christian. It is all so ambiguous.
Those born into a muslim family are they automatically of the muslim faith or do they need to learn the kuran first before they are accepted into the muslim faith. Could a person refuse to follow the muslim faith. do they?
It is all so very confusing and you will all probably think I am the most stupidest of people. Yes I accept that label

The definition will no doubt vary with different churches - some would expect adult baptism, for example. However, if you sincerely try to put Christ's teaching into practice in your life, that's good enough so far as I'm concerned. (It's hard enough just to love your neighbours.) Of course, that means learning about what he did teach. Get yourself a good modern-English study Bible, with notes. Look up the references, and think about what you read. Pray for understanding.
I learn something each time I consider even a familiar story. For example, two readings at a carol service the other day - 1) Mary wrapped her baby in swaddling bands & laid him in a manger because there was no room for them at the Inn, 2) The angel appeared to the shepherds in the field, and told them to go and look for a baby "...in swaddling bands lying in a manger; and this shall be the sign". So, these facts made sure they would find the right baby among all the babies in Bethlehem!

It doesn't matter if your knowledge regarding the Bible is poor, Christianity is for those who believe in God and His Son (Jesus Christ; hence the word Christianity).
I'm not a religious person, as I don't go to church and I don't believe in rules that many religions follow, my knowledge of the Bible is good enough for me but not for many, but still I consider myself 100% Christian! It is what is in your heart that matters, not what others tell you.

I don't think you have to be a biblical scholar to be a Christian. You just have to believe that Jesus is the son of God and he died on the cross for our sins.
You should be on a journey, if you will, to enhance your relationship with the Lord and invite Him into your life, pray, and read the bible.

You don't have to know the Bible so that you can call yourself good/Christian and anybody who says you that you must has clearly been eluded by some deviant craft talking.
To me, there is no definiation of what being a true Christain is, unfortunately. If you believe that God created us all, then he is our father and we are all his children.

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Do you believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ? Do you believe that he died on the cross of Calvary for your sins and mine? If you are a believer than you are a Christian. You just need more knowledge in the Christian ways and lifestyle. God Bless you.
