My boyfriend and I have been together for nine months, and we have been friends for several years.

During the entire time I have known him, I have heard him mention several times that he hates feet, that they are disgusting, and that he is aversive to touching anyone's feet and the like, which never really seemed odd to me, because I know a lot of people are grossed out by feet for whatever reason.

However, I get the feeling that maybe he just claims he hates feet to cover the fact that he actually has a foot fetish. For example, we have been in restaurants before in the summer where I have been wearing sandals, and he has subtlely reached down and started massaging my foot under the table (with other guests at the table, mind you). Also, during sex, if I am on top, he will reached around my legs and grab my feet and start rubbing them.

Anyway, it won't bother me at all if he has a foot fetish, I am just not really sure what the deal is, so I'd appreciate any reponses! Thanks!

He is 24 years old, and he is from a really great family, and was raised almost entirely by his mother, because his father was constantly traveling for business and never at home.

His family is wonderful, but sort of emotionally closed-off, so I am wondering if he has always hidden this because he didn't feel like he would be accepted or normal because of it?

Forgive me as I am laughing uproariously at the moment...

And thank you for bringing back a flood of memories!

I have always been loud, gregarious, and not a wall flower or ever considered shy in any way whatsoever.

However...

You gotta admit, having a thing for a woman's foot could be a pretty wierd thing. And for someone lacking a lot of practice it would take quite a leap of faith to actually express that sort of thing to a woman --Especially to the woman who's feet would be the source of said of attention.

And from here it only gets worse! Especially if your boyfriend thinks you possess absolutely exquisite feet and toes.

(I'm laughing again...)

I will tell you a story later.

No one wants to be shunned, or be thought to be a freak or worse... My experience back then was to merely bring the subject up in a the most casual or innocuous way you could possibly imagine. My comments were usually met with derision, if not horror, shock, or perceived perversion.

I spent a lot of time masturbating to empirical evidence in those days, I'll tell ya!

Now I did not go to the extent that your boy friend has (if he does like feet, I mean) But how he verbally expresses himself certainly makes sense to me. It's not that he's ashamed or anything like that, he just doesn't want to be told, "leave my feet alone!"

So he'll look, and maybe touch once in awhile, then masturbate to his fantasies later.

It's really not a big deal, and if you aren't averse to it, you can really have a lot of fun with it. I will say that in a fun way and not in a dominant/submisssive way, if you have a "cruel" streak in you, you have no idea how much fun you can have at this point in the process!

But if you don't want to put him through any of that, then sometime when the two of you are doing something together that requires a lot of walking, when you get home, plop your feet in his lap (let him take your shoes off) and ask him to massage your feet.

Then take it from there!

Now just briefly, I was at my 30th HS reunion a little while ago. (God, I hate typing that!) and I encountered a former girl friend.
During all the catching up she made the comment about her husband, "Oh my God, he's wonderful, and he gives the greatest foot rubs..." And we all laughed. Then later I said, "Damn! You like foot rubs, eh?" where she replied, "Too late now!"

I am the same thing. I hate feet when they are not pretty. But when I see beautiful feet I can't resist admiring it. Now don't get me wrong it has to be attached to an equally beautiful woman for this to work. The best ones I've seen was my old college friend Lisette. And she knew it to that it drove me crazy. She would slide it up and down my leg during class just to bug me. We never slept together, I had a girlfriend and she had her boyfriend.

I think you may be overreacting a bit. If he had a foot fetish he would be after all feet, not only yours. From your description I don't think he has a foot fetish he simply likes yours, he may actually hate feet but does those things to your feet because he like you so much it transcends his dislike for feet.

I can't really say if he does have a foot fetish or not. But as long as you don't mind it, you can make him a very happy man. You can ask him or simply wait till the time comes. Good luck!

i think he is a little bit ashamed about it or fears rejection. try to find a way to make him feel comfortable with adoring your feet. ex: rub them against his chest during intercourse.
