My husband and I, both white, would love to adopt a baby and provide a loving home. We do not care at all what race that baby is. In fact, we feel that it will be a very positive thing for our biological son to have the experience and openness of knowing that race doesn't matter when it comes to love and helping other human beings. However, we are worried that the baby we adopt may (someday) care that his/her adoptive parents weren't the same race and maybe would feel that they might have missed an integral part of their heritage and culture. We are mainly looking at an adoption of an African American baby and would like inuput from African Americans about this. Any view would be greatly appreciated.

What goes through the mind of an emo teenager? What makes them decide to be emo? Is goth any different? or just a different name for emo? What are your thoughts on this? Could you say that it is an "epidemic" that is sweeping teens today?

I constantly see people sitting as the American Flag is presented at the front of a parade. People talk and laugh and do not remove their hats during the playing of the national anthem. Some even remain sitting but stand with my assistance. Parents don't teach their children proper respect for the flag, or what it represents. I would bet that the majority of Americans, don't even know that when folding the flag, each fold has a special meaning. As Americans, I believe we are losing touch with our country and the special history that made us great.

Why do people of Jewish enthic group have a monopoly on the word anti-semitism- Semite is the ancient people of the middle east that are culturally and enthically related- This predate the madness of the Hitler by thousands of years. Regardless of what you read in the Bible or Torah. The fact is all these people have a common ancestery that was only divided by religious practices

The kids who benefit from toys for tots are kids who are impoverished and in my opinion giving them toys is the last thing they need in their lives..provide some scholarships, buy them some books on how to not be poor, something anything positive other than some damned toys. I know some may disagree with my feelings, and thats fine, but the issue is toys are a distraction for a kid..especially some damn xbox 360 or some video game like that. Question is do poor kids need xbox360 etc. or do they need solutions to the problems that plague their community?

Why the government of the US asks you if you're "non-hispanic white", but don't ask you if you're "non-hispanic black" or "non-hispanic asian" or "non-hispanic native american"? Do they think that there are no blacks, asian and native americans in Latin America? If you're black hispanic what should you choose, black or hispanic?

It really pisses me off. People always stereotype us as angry, unattractive, promiscious, and ghetto. I'm neither of these things. I'm a very shy sista but I was raised to speak my mind and tell the truth. I'm mad because some Black women are pertpetuaing these myths. My mother and father and I worked hard for me not to be "one of these niggarish ghetto girls" And we are treated differnetly true, whenever I go to a high fashion store like Louis Vuttion people are always staring at me and saying rude stuff like "I don't think you'll like anything here, this isn't your style." or when I'm at school or on the street people act so surpised at the way my accent is and say dumb crap like "wow your so articulate" or people ask dumb questions like "how do you do you hair,do you wash your hair?" I'm on my way to college in a year and I'm going to defy every damn stereotype about Black women.
