If they didn't call themselves ****** all the time, then maybe it would be not be misunderstood to be accepted. When you have black comedians, and rappers glorifying the word. it certainly loses it's meaning. Cracker is a racist word, but since white people don't go around calling each other cracker, the word just doesn't carry the effect it could have.

It's interesting because in Canada while many Hispanics in the US are seen as Brown, many of us in Canada are seen as White (at least by many of the youths). I'm not joking. People actually have arguments with me on my colour. I tell people I'm Brown, yet they feel they can tell me what I am. Many Americans, I'm sure would find this to be very strange because it is common knowledge that many of our people have Native running through their veins. How is it that were White? Many of the people in my class who are well into their teens still think Latinos are White. The ignorance is overwhelming. Even these two Chileans would insist that Latinos were not considered Brown and other non-Latinos who know nothing about Latin America felt they could say to me what I was. Interestingly, many people ask me in an interested way "are you Spanish?" when they know little about Spain or Latin America for that matter. Many also tend to use Spanish interchangably with Hispanic or Latino.

I just got back from wendy's and I had the worst experience of my life. I asked for no tomato, and then had to repeat myself 5 times that I wanted everything else but tomato. Why do these places hire immigrants and have the ones that can't speak english working the intercom? Then, when you finally get the order, it has stupid tomato's!!!! I don't understand why places charge so much for a sandwich, when they have idiot's working in there. And why ask what you want, they are going to make it anyway's. The only way to get your order right, is to either speak Spanish, Somalian, or Ebonics. And you can forget about getting a smile or a thank you in these places, unless you are giving them safe passage into the country, they don't give to craps about anything but blairing there mexican death rock, and staring at your breasts and butt and oogling and cat calling in a foreign language. I know that Wendy's is a good company, but was it worth immigrating here for?

I'm a black and often when i read Q&A about this topic, some people say look at halle berry and beyonce, they're black and beautiful, but halle berry is mixed race and beyonce is mixed and of french descent. Is there any one who is fully black , that you find attractive? Try to be honest aswell

The idea of intellectuals forming a group and creating remote communities where certain negative aspects of society are removed, say religious belief, greed, competitiveness etc, isn't a new one, hence I though it would be a desirable idea to at least a few people.

America-Hates blacks period.
Europe-Same as America
Africa-Whites hate blacks over there and asian indians feel they are superior.
Asia-Hates blacks more than anywhere else and the funny part is, there aren't any over there! Maybe the whites taught them to hate blacks.
South America-Do I have to explain? Hispanics hate blacks as well. They are just white people with a tan that speaks another language.

*When I say blacks, I mean regular, good people that have never commited a crime, don't use slang and are polite and treats everyone like they should be treated*

Where can you go for peace? There should be a blacks only island for black people that just want a break from racism.

Okay, I know alot of the slang terms that people use, but this one I can't figure out. I even looked it up in the google dictionary. Anyway, I sometimes hear my friends sayying , "He's a baller" . And, in the song "Still Ballin'" by Tupac, that is the chorus. What does it mean in the gangster way? I doubt it has anything to do with basketball, because I would have known it.

I have always been interested in African culture esp. Egypt and one of my college buddies married a BEAUTIFUL Arab girl from Egypt. (she really looks hispanic to me). (I am a history buff)

HERE IS THE SITUATION: We engaged in a convo about Egypt and during the process our discussion she was very offended I called Egypt an African civilization. She said that Egypt is the Middle East in Africa. I told her you can call it what you like, Egypt may have Middle Eastern culture but it is still African. She became more angry. (I was really confused about that) She also was offended N. Africa mostly Blk. She said that N Africa is white Africa; at this point I ended the discussion b/c I became offended. It seemed that Old Europe still has colonial ownership around her brain.

MY QUESTION:
1. Why do many N. Africans esp. Arabs make a VERY INTENTIONAL effort to distance themselves from Sub Sahara Africa?
2. Why is it that N. Africa distain anything Blk when they are on a blk continent?

You, a regular American, the “everyday guy”, have ever been discriminated ? How ?
Is the racism, by now, a mayor problem in the USA?
On a common day, what things people do that makes you feel being discriminated ??
