Hello everybody, I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I just saw on youtube what this guy said. I still remember (sadly) the LA riots and what happened to Rodney King.

Here is my question:
You, a regular American, the “everyday guy”, have ever been discriminated ? How ?
Is the racism, by now, a mayor problem in the USA?
On a common day, what things people do that makes you feel being discriminated ??

Excuse if my English isn’t the best, greetings and thank you for your time.

Your english is fine. Far better than my spanish.

Yes, racism and ignorance is a problem in most countries in the world, including the US.

Is it worse there than others? I don't know, I'm Canadian.

I suspect the problem is more of one of distribution of wealth than simply race. It is a sad truth that even in a world with no racism, its easier for the poor to stay poor and the rich richer. Say you have 3000,000 people who used to be slaves and you free them but give them no money whatsoever. Even if the world is not racist, how likely is it that many generations later those peope are still poorer than those who actually were not put in the said situation? Once you factor in racism, the situation gets worse but, well you know.

Obviously there is racism in the US. Is it really the only problem that causes the symptoms one sees? I wonder. If only the world could be a simple place but it isn't. It is not black and white but more grey.

Racism is still some what common in America.

Heck just read the some of the questions posted on Yahoo Answers.

it a bigger problem then many think because of the fact that it's usually not in you face but instead just below the surface.

It's being pulled by a police officer not because of anything you did but because he was only suspicious of you because of your skin color.

It's the increase likelihood someone want look at your resume because you have an ethnic sounding name.

etc.

It's not as bad as it use to be but by no means is the problem solved.

It's all so pathetic. Who gives a rats @$$ if he called a n*ggar a n*ggar!?! I get called a fat ***** now and again too, you don't see me boo-hoo-ing over it. All people are entitled to say whatever they wish rather it's right or wrong. And believe it or not, there are worse things that a person could be besides a "racist" like a mass murderer or a child molester. People need to get over it!!!
I mean, what was the guy in the audience behaving like? And there you have it.

As bad as his comment was what about towards the end of the incident when they called him a "Cracker" and a "F**cking Whiteboy" And I havent heard anything about their apology's for their racist remarks yet..

It's a double standard! The fact that rappers say the "N" word (No I don't use it!!) all the time!! And you hear all these little hip hop clowns refer to themselves as it again every other word...I have no problem with the fact that he snapped and called them something they probably refered to themselves as all day long anyway....It was the comment that precipitated it

"If it was 50 years ago you'd be hanging upside down with a fork in your a*s" That blew my mind...

Something like that just doesn't roll off your tongue unless you've thought about it before..That was unbelievably offensive and crossed every line there was to cross in my mind!! The dudes career has been dead for years. So I can't even say he buried himself with that comment...But he sure let people know where his mind lies..He's racist no if's ands or buts about it

gazing the pictures exchange into very demanding. He says that he's not a racist and that he only suggested those issues simply by fact he exchange into offended. yet stand-up comics be attentive to a thank you to handle hecklers. you do not yell racist issues at them.
