can anyone tell why alot of young men and women too,are commiting sucide? why take your own life? what or why would they do that? i dont really understand

It brings to my attention on how asian girls specificly prefer white,black, or same race men. When there is many good choices to choose from and seem really prejudice when it comes to getting in a serious relationship with other then the races mentioned. I wonder if asian girls dislike a nice tan color or is it that they are to extremist and they either go all white or all black or none at all and stay with their own?Please if there is a logical response I will like to hear it.

We're lucky enough to live in a democracy and have a principle right to freedom of speech. But should we allow hateful speech e.g racial slurs and things that blatantly set out to offend others.

On YA! tonight I've seen and given answers to a lot of questions on race, and I've seen a lot of nastiness from every group towards each other. Is there any way we can ever have (especially black and white Americans) an honest and constructive discussion on the subject of race? I have to think that this has been tried before by smarter people than me, but I don't know. I would like to think that most questions on this website represent rather extreme viewpoints, but I just don't know anymore. Please, thoughtful answers only. And let me add I don't mean to ask black and white people exclusively- anybody, everybody, chime in- just lets all be prepared to listen.........

For all other ethnicities/races, there are words that don't imply having American citizenship (Asian, Arab, Hispanic, Latino, etc.). But when it comes to black people, there's no word. On TV you always hear them address the "Hispanic community," the "Asian community" - and that includes U.S. citizens (i.e. Americans), U.S. residents and others. But if you're black but don't have citizenship (eg. a first generation immigrant from Nigeria), it's like you don't exist, since you're not included when they talk about African-Americans.

If communism is a pure state where all are equal financially and culturally, why consider it evil?? Is it not merely the desire of certain elite individuals to consider themselves more equal than others that caused the system to fail?? I was driving to the supermarket and stopped at a red light. I was sitting there looking straight ahead, thinking about what I was going to buy for Thanksgiving. The light turned green, and suddenly a flurry of activity to my left caught my eye, and a black man driving in the opposite direction was making an obscene gesture with his middle finger at me. I never saw him before in my entire life, and there was no rational reason for what he was doing. I managed to flip the bird back at him as he drove by, but that incident put me into an ugly mood. All the way to the supermarket, I was saying to myself, "that God damn filthy n____." Even while I was shopping I could not get back into my normal happy mood. I am not a redneck but actually liberal when it comes to race relations, civil rights, and equal opportunity. However, if insulted, I will insult back, and if stepped on, I will fight like hell.

You can't hurt us anymore than you already have. We have felt the pain from ALL races and cultures. We are the bottom of the barrel. You blame us for everything. You say we are ugly, less evolved. Any nasty word you thought of, you said proudly and the nastyist way you could. You have done everything inhumane to us, and you continue to do it. Everywhere we go hatred follows. Every good thing we make, you take for your own and burn us. Our skin hair everything is different.

Why should I care what others say? I already heard it since I was born. Injected with inferior sayings and self hatred I walk this earth. So much pain my body is numb from the coldness of the indifference and ignorence of you people.We would be better off dead than to be alive with all you racist Whites Asians and Hispanics.

Throughout my life, I've noticed that the dream of many asians is to come to America and marry a white person. In this country, asians often seem to prefer the company of whites, even over other asians. As far as blacks or hispanics, etc, forget it! I've even read about people in China and Japan getting surgery to make their eyes rounder and breaking/stretching their legs to get taller. What's up?

You know when I first saw that response that I responded to, I got mad instantly. At first I just wanted to make Carol mad, and I was never even going to check and see if anyone responded to my question. Then I got too curious and looked anyway. Now that I've calm down and after reading some of the answers you all have sent me, it was harsh. The only reason why I even put that part about every one who agrees is because a lot of people responded who did agee with her. Thats who the anger was directed to not everyone else. If Europeans had just wiped out all of the indians (natives/aboriginals of North and South America) and taken over Africa and did what was best for them and not everyone else aswell, they had the ability to do it, but didn't. What significant differences would we see in the world today?

Please note this is not meant to be racist by any means, I'm not saying that it would be better, or that it wouldn't be, I'd just like to hear some opinions on what ppl. believe the world would be like today (for better or worse)
