What do you think of us Yanks and our place in the world arena? Are we making things better or worse? How has "American culture" impacted your life, if at all? Just curious about what you think of us "deown undah". (FYI, I think you all are great and I love your beautiful countries!)

Aussie opinion - I love the US and the majority of the people I have met. I travel there every two years for a least 6 weeks but last year I stayed 3 months and was sad when I had to leave. I don't think the US are making things worse - I think they are trying to make make things better but don't always get the mix right.
I have always maintained that Australia is a mix of British and American cultures predominately. Yes we have a multicultural country with emigrants from all over the world but if you look at the basic Australian lifestyle it is a mix of the British and American style that is Australianised (if there is such a word).
The impact of American culture for me is a personal one. I was not raised by my parents (Australian mother, American father) so because of my American heritage I have maintained a keen interest in their culture. I don't profess to understand everything but I certainly enjoy what the US has to offer. Get a bit confused when I drive on the roads though. LOL.

Love to visit US,i go three times a year ,apart from most Americans being a little ignorant of life outside the us there mostly very nice ,but wouldn't want to live there at all ,Australia is much nicer place to bring up kids ,and is far more tolerant society overall
come visit its lovely down here !
Oh the other good thing is fundamental Christianity is a bit of a joke to Australians.
